this is really important to remember! art is a process and youre always learning! it can be very helpful to dedicate some time every day to some warm ups before any major drawings as well. try alternating between different subjects. for example, start with lines, then boobs, then shapes, then boobs again, then composition, then boobs, then back to lines, then round it all out with some boobs. it can really make a difference!

While I 100% agree that there are a lot of rappers who have misogynistic lyrics, it always feels deeply disingenuous when white/nonblack people call it out as a means of defense for talking shit about it as a genre while still slutshaming female rappers for rapping about sex. On top of that, they'll say stuff like "oh yeah I prefer rock/pop punk/heavy metal" as though rock musicians and their fans have historically been accepting of women in the scene, and have always made it a safe space for women *looks at Tina Bell, Hayley Williams, and the women involved in the Riot/Sista Grrrl movement who literally formed those movements in response to the white men who made them feel unsafe*. I guess misogyny is only okay when white men are the ones spewing it.

Truly I hate the fact that if you’ve got memory problems people just assume you’re dumb. Like sure it’s great to be able to list off perfectly memorised bullet points at a moment’s notice, but I don’t really think that’s an adequate way of assessing that person’s learning. That doesn’t tell me you’re knowledgeable on the subject, it tells me you’re really good at dot points & flash cards. Can you define them in your own words? You can remember them but do you understand them?

does anyone remember that "androphobia" is a real word that means being genuinely Afraid of men. and it's mostly used to describe women who are intensely scared of men following abuse/assault. and this is a whole thing where you can have a service dog that keeps men away. because i remember that, having known several women both cis and trans who were like this, and it really is odd to see the term misused as another word for misandry lol that is not what it means
