You two had never talked about breaking up. No “We’d be better off breaking up” or “It’ll be over once we’re far away from each other.”
But your last message, ‘I’m sorry’, had sounded like the end.
Isagi didn’t reply, not because he didn’t want to, but because it hurt too much. He wanted to text back.
I love you.
Please, give us a chance.
I’ll wait forever.
He waited for you to change your mind. He didn’t want to believe it was over. He couldn’t. He tried, really tried.
Before leaving your country, he had accepted the inevitable. But now, he missed you so much that he couldn’t accept it anymore. He threw himself into work, training harder to think about something else. But you were always on his mind.
He knew there would never be anyone else. Even if you never came back to him. It was you. Only you. Always and forever.
He had never been particularly romantic, but now he understood what people meant by true love.
But slowly, gradually, your silence broke him even more than he already was.
That silence sounded like : It’s over, even if I still love you too.
The road to becoming the best was a lonely one. He knew it. He had always known it. But he couldn’t give up. And every victory he couldn’t share with you felt tasteless.
So when he saw you standing on his doorstep, miles away from home after weeks of silence, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
At first, he said nothing. Neither did you.
His eyes widened with shock, his hands trembling, his heart beating so fast it hurt.
Slowly, as if afraid you might disappear again, he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you against him. He breathed in your scent, which had become more necessary than air itself and held you as if his life depended on it.
Overwhelmed with emotion, you cried silently in his arms. You didn’t say ‘I’m sorry’, ‘I missed you’, or ‘I love you’. You just cried against him.
He wiped away your tears, kissed your cheeks, then finally gave you a real kiss. The first in weeks. Weeks of tears. Weeks of loneliness. Weeks of missing each other.
The reunion was intense, passionate, the kind of moment when everything else vanished. Finding each other again felt like a natural fit, as if finally, all the pieces of the puzzle were fitting together perfectly. You clicked instantly as if you had never been separated. The chemistry between you was still there, maybe stronger than before now that you both knew what it felt like to be apart. You chatted, you laughed, you cried. It felt like the end of months of suffering.
For hours, he didn’t ask why you were here, he didn’t dare to believe you changed your mind but you could feel his silent questions.
He talked about the city as if you would move in and you didn’t deny it at first. You didn’t want to break this moment with reality.
You felt like you were lying to him by omission so at the end of the day, when you two were lying on his bed, you finally spoke :
“I have a few days off. 15 without counting the travel.”
His face darkened but he nodded, accepting the fact. He was disappointed. He had hoped you had already planned your departure to join him. You didn’t come here to move in, you simply came to visit him. After all this time, you hadn't changed your mind. You came but you planned to leave. Your visit was huge after weeks of despair, but not enough. He couldn’t accept a relationship based on a few days off, a few calls.
It wasn’t enough, it wouldn’t be enough. Never.
He cupped your face gently, his thumb stroking your cheek.
“Stay,” he whispered, never taking his eyes off you. “I can’t… do this. I can’t wait for you everyday, fearing you’d never come back.”
You really wanted to stay with him, but were you truly ready to leave everything behind ? To leave the lunches every Sunday at your grandparents' place, the outings between cousins, the weekends with the family ?
This new life was full of uncertainties.
You didn’t reply immediately but you pressed your lips against his. A tender and slow kiss. A reassuring kiss which meant you two would overcome anything together. You wouldn’t run away again, you couldn’t live without him… but changing your life so suddenly felt impossible for you.
“We can survive a long-distance relationship,” you finally said when you broke away. “For now.
— For now,” he repeated, his face deadly serious.
He paused, hesitating before adding :
“I realise what I'm asking of you is a lot. I know I'm selfish… but I need you here, with me. I’d do anything to make you happy.”
You were still reluctant. He knew you wanted to be near your family, he knew your career was flourishing and above all, you didn’t master foreign language. A life here meant isolation, far from your loved ones, a life waiting for him to come back home, a life to completely rebuild.
But a life with him.
He wanted to emphasize this point but he stayed quiet. He couldn’t blame you after all he was the first to leave. He didn’t stay by your side and he had chosen his career over you. Maybe he was greedy to want everything but he couldn’t stop hoping.
He remained silent, pulling you closer, holding you thigh as if you could flee if he didn’t keep you in his arms. He left kisses on your cheeks, your nose, your jawline, your chin, then lower in your neck, on your shoulder.
Each kiss was a silent plea, a mix of “I miss you” and “I can’t live without you”.
When he raised his head to meet your eyes, you said : “I don't know what to do… I came because I missed you but I didn't make a decision.”
You came on a whim, without any real preparation, without having made a decision about your future.
“Have you seriously thought about it ?”
You had turned the problem over and over in your mind but every time you had tried to imagine a future in this other country with him, you were paralysed by fear.
And now, in his arms, you wanted to accept everything. To promise him you would move in but something held you back. Fear, doubts, insecurities.
The real problem wasn’t that you doubted his love. The problem was that you didn’t see the future in the same way. Previously, back then in your country, the more his career took off, the more you felt like you were no longer living in the same world.
Oversleeping in on his days off, breakfasts on the sunny terrace, walks hand in hand, long conversations late into the night. Everything was as before, without awkwardness or strange moments. As if the months of separation had been nothing more than a brief pause.
In the days that followed, he stayed with you as much as he could to show you around the city. Since he had been living there, he had already scouted out all the places that might have appealed to you. And he was right, he knew you so much that he wasn’t mistaken.
You refused to talk about the move in or the long-distance relationship anymore. You had avoided all the painful topics and your relationship was now drowning in unspoken things. He tried to communicate, to resolve everything unsaid between you but you fled each time. You wanted to postpone the deadline and simply enjoy your reunion.
The situation was unbearable for him. He wanted you to talk about it, he needed it, he couldn’t stand this invisible and silent conflict.
But he focused on your present happiness : fancy dates, gourmet restaurants, exclusive rooftop bars, mountains of gifts. And even though he didn't particularly enjoy this new aspect of his life, he could no longer live as he used to. He was a famous player for a big club. He could no longer go out to places where he would have been mobbed by fans, he had tons of VIP invitations he couldn’t refuse, and for his safety, he frequented very selective places.
He noticed you felt out of place, uneasy in the upscale places he took you. Of course he did.
“I promise you I will do everything to make you feel comfortable here,” he affirmed one night when you two came back to his apartment. “I don’t need all of this, I only need you.”
And slowly, you started to believe him, you started to think you could survive anything if it was for him : the distance with your family and friends, the cultural gap, his new classy life, his public life.
You bought language textbooks, read about the culture of his new country and spent hours browsing job offers when he was outside.
But you realised something that terrified you : this life you could have built here was not like the life he led.
He hadn't changed but his whole life was different. And it was exactly the kind of life you didn’t want. Sponsors, interviews, meeting his fans on his days off, pictures and autographs in the streets, rumors about your relationship on the internet. You had spent your whole life building something of your own but moving here meant becoming "Isagi's partner" before being yourself.
You had mixed feelings. You missed the time when you lived in your country, when everything was simpler but you were proud and happy for him. He had worked so hard to rise to the highest spheres that he deserved his success, his new life.
Everything would have been easier if he had changed. But he stayed exactly the same and that was why it hurt. He didn't get a big head or become condescending. You still loved him but you just couldn't love the life that came with him. He didn't change but his world did. The world in which he was evolving didn’t fit with the peaceful and anonymous life you wanted.
For the first time, you realised that loving someone wasn't always enough to build a future together.
He wanted to show you that nothing had changed so he organized a lovely evening at his house, filled the dining room with flowers and candles, and cooked one of your favorite dishes himself.
However, throughout the meal he seemed tense, almost elsewhere, lost in his thoughts. And you couldn’t help wondering if this meal was a "last" meal together.
At the end of the diner, he took your hand.
“Y/n… Don’t leave.”
He had the impression that you were already far away from him, unreachable, already gone without having realised it.
He continued. He had thought a lot about what he was going to say, he had organized his arguments to counter all your fears :
“I can provide for you while you look for a job. You'll be able to come home for the vacations to see your family. I'll help you to learn the language, you could take lessons and in a few months, you would be able to be independent here.”
He squeezed your hand before bringing it to his lips. He was almost tempted to beg you but he knew that the only thing you could hear were rational arguments.
Everything seemed simple when he talked about it. You held his hand, warm as always. The warmth you missed so much when you were separated.
“There will be many changes but I will be there to support you.”
He paused, looking at you with such vulnerability. He needed you to reach his dreams. He was asking you to make him the center of your future, while football had always remained the center of his.
“I need to know whether we're still walking toward the same future.
— I want a future with you but I don’t want to give up my life. Not like that.”
— I won’t love anyone else,” he concluded.
A faint, sad smile stretched your lips.
“Me neither.”
Your answer seemed almost to hurt him. A silent ‘then why don't you move in ?’
“Then… stay with me,” he couldn't help but say. “I know that the life I can offer you is not what you wanted, but I will do everything so that you never regret it.”
He didn’t add anything but his eyes spoke for him. A mix of fear and hope shone inside. During all your stay, his mind never shut up, thoughts raced all the time, he never stopped searching for a solution which could arrange both of you.
You put aside your glass and asked :
“And you, could you come back with me if I ask you ?”
You knew it was unfair, you knew it was too late but the words escaped your mouth before you realised it. Deep down, even if you didn’t recognise it, you wanted him to be able to do a sacrifice as big as yours.
Your question took him off guard. The reason was simple : you never asked him something like this before he left.
“You don’t have to give up football, you can join your old club and you still can play for your national team.”
He opened his mouth then closed it without saying a word.
“I will also do everything for you so you never regret it…”
He still hadn’t replied, so you asked : “Or am I not enough for you ?”
You were obsessed with this thought : you weren't enough. Your love wasn't enough. He could have been content with your old life but it wasn't enough to make him truly happy.
“See ? None of us is able to leave his dreams,” you continued, bitter. “You don’t love me enough to make a sacrifice as big as you ask me to do.
— No ! It’s not like that ! I love you, I do love you…
— But you will always choose football over me.
— Don’t ask me to give up now…”
When he was playing, he believed he had made the right choice but when he was alone, at night, missing you, he wondered how his life would be if he had kept his old life.
“I want to play in this club, I have to stay here to fulfill this desire. You, on the contrary, you can find work everywhere. My job…
— It’s not even a real job ! It’s just football !” you said, resentful and frustrated.
Your words were like a punch in the gut. Unexpected and devastating.
What you had tried to hide since your arrival was now exploding in his face. You were upset. Even though rationally you understood his choice, you felt abandoned. Left behind like a second choice, like something that would never be a priority. You resented him even though you knew it was unfair. It wasn't rational, and even if your mind knew it, your heart wouldn't accept it.
You immediately regretted your words, but the damage was done. It was a job, you knew how hard he trained, you were aware that competition was tough. You always supported him but wounded and desperate, your anger had spoken for you.
He wasn't angry, just hurt. Sad. Broken in a way no one else could have broken him. You were his anchor, the one person who understood him better than anyone else. You had never reproached him for anything related to his career, yet now, all of a sudden, it had become a problem.
And if football was the problem in your relationship, he was the problem.
“It's just football,” he repeated. “Yes. It’s just football.”
He let out a dry and humorless laugh. Of all the people he knew, you were the one who should have understood him. Throughout your relationship, he had been convinced that you understood him. But now, he was no longer sure of anything.
He plunged his hand into his pocket and came out a small black box that he placed on the table.
“I think we don’t understand each other anymore.”
You looked at the box, knowing what it symbolised. A common future. A life together.
In silence, he got up slowly and turned around to walk towards his bedroom. You stood up in one fluid and hurried movement.
“Yoichi !”
You stopped him, grabbing his wrist.
“I’m sorry ! I didn’t mean what I said. I was just upset and…
— It means a part of you thinks it’s true.
— No… I swear… I’m sorry. Really sorry.”
The words had gone beyond your thoughts because unconsciously you wanted him to be as hurt as you were.
“Okay.”
He believed you, or at least, forgave you. However, he could never forget your words. And if you didn't understand his passion and his dream, it meant you didn't understand him.
He took your hand and lowered his eyes towards you.
“If neither of us is willing to change our minds... ... we should…
— Yes… we should…”
‘If neither of us is willing to change our mind, then maybe we should stop hurting each other’, you understood even if he didn’t finish.
A painful silence hung between you. You talked first, guilty and desperate :
“I love you…
— But ?
— But for now, I can’t stay here… Give me some time…”
He was ready to commit because he was sure of his feelings, sure that you could continue as before.
But you knew that following him now meant your whole life would revolve around his career. You would move from club to club, from country to country, constantly starting over. New cities. New jobs. New friends. New routines. You would always be the one adapting while he chased his dream.
You didn't resent him for it. How could you ? Football had always been a part of who he was. It was one of the things you admired most about him. His determination. His ambition. The way he devoted himself entirely to his goal. But you had dreams too. A life you had spent years building. A career, a home, people you loved. Following him meant letting go of all those things and trusting that love alone would be enough.
And as much as you loved him, more than you had ever loved anyone, you weren't ready to take that leap.
A faint smile crossed his lips and he nodded. He could give you all the time you needed. But standing in front of you now, he wasn't sure time was really the issue.
For the first time, he wondered whether your futures were simply leading in different directions. And that thought hurt far more than any goodbye.
The day you left was even harder than your first separation because this time, you both knew exactly what awaited you. Weeks without physical contact. Weeks of calls and text messages. That was how your long-distance relationship began.
The distance was unbearable for him. He fell into a spiral of overthinking, replaying your conversations over and over in his mind, searching for a reason to believe you would eventually come back to him.
But everything seemed to point in the opposite direction. You had promised you would return when you were ready, yet months passed without any real change. It felt as though you were both stuck in the same place, unable to move forward, unable to let go.
The relationship slowly died. Not in the screams. Not in the reproaches. In the absence of a common project.
Calls, texts, pictures, and videos exchanged every day were the only things that remained between you. He analysed every word you said or wrote. Every ambiguous expression gave rise to a thousand different interpretations. He couldn't stop overthinking, even the smallest things.
A text without a smiley. A missed call. A conversation ending earlier than usual. To him, everything was proof that you wouldn't come back.
You refused to talk about the future. You made no progress toward the changes your new life would require. As if nothing would ever change.
And slowly, his heart that had carried so much hope began to break once again.
He hated the idea of giving you an ultimatum but he couldn't stand it any longer. He couldn't keep waiting for a sign, for something that would reassure him, something that would tell him you were still moving toward him.
So one night, he typed a long message containing everything he could no longer keep to himself.
I can't do this anymore. Every day, I tell myself to be patient. Every day, I tell myself that you just need more time. But I don't know what I'm waiting for anymore. I don't know if you're trying to find a way back to me or a way to leave me. I don't know if you're afraid, if you're angry, or if you've already made your decision and just don't know how to tell me.
I miss you all the time. When I wake up. When I come home. After matches. Before sleeping.
And the worst part is that I don't even know if we're moving forward or standing still. I need you to be honest with me. Not because I want to pressure you. Because I love you.
Because I can't spend another month wondering if you'll ever come back.
If you need more time, tell me.
If you want a future with me, tell me.
And if you can't forgive me for leaving, tell me that too.
But please don't leave me in the dark anymore.
Blue Lock x romance tropes : Part 1 | Part 3 [on going]
Theme : Unconditional love
♥ Rin : Could you still love someone unconditionally if he wasn't the same person anymore ?
♥ Sae : Could he still love you after you lost all your memories of him ?
► Read on Ao3 | Masterlist ◄ English isn't my first langage, sorry.
Rin : Miss you even when you're here
You had dated Rin for years, and you were sure you would love him for the rest of your life.
You understood what it meant to love someone unconditionally, to love someone with his flaws, with his failures.
Any accident in life could happen, you were sure that your relationship could overcome everything.
He could become poor or sick, and you would always stay by his side.
But there was one thing you didn’t expect : him to change.
After a snowy night, he left home for months.
You tried to contact him. You called, you texted but he never replied.
So you waited.
You waited, believing your relationship could overcome anything.
And one day, he came back to you and you decided to forgive him, to crush your frustration and anger to move on.
You wondered why he came back. Maybe out of habit, because he had nowhere else to go.
Or maybe because he loved you. You hoped he still loved you.
You didn’t push for answers because when he came back, he seemed broken.
So you waited for him to open up.
He never told you what had happened during those months away but everything had changed.
He became distant and guarded with everyone, even with you. He built walls between the two of you as if you could be a threat.
It was so painful but you kept hope : if he came back, that meant he cared about you, right ?
You were patient, you still thought your love could survive everything.
And he needed you. He never told you something like that but he seemed so unhappy that it broke your heart.
You believed you were the one who could help him.
Because, after all, he came back to you.
However, you barely recognised him.
He was rude even with you, easily irritable, troubled and restless.
His affection had become minimal, almost nonexistent.
And when you were alone, you cried because you missed him so much.
You missed him even if he was there.
You missed him as if he had disappeared.
Because, in a way, your Rin had disappeared. He was nothing more than a shell filled with hatred and anger.
He was haunted by something which he never talked about.
If you didn’t know him for years, you would run away. You had always avoided this kind of man.
But it was Rin.
You could never abandon him.
Above all, when he was so lonely, so sad, so broken.
You tried to tame him as if he were a wild animal.
But you failed.
He never opened his heart to you.
Sometimes, you even wondered why he stayed with you.
You felt invisible.
A ghost companion. At best, a roommate.
One day, you found yourself wondering whether you still loved him. If you could love the new Rin, the one who constantly rejected you, the one who acted like a stranger at home.
He woke up each morning next to you, he ate the meal you prepared, he warned you when he had to return from work later, he fell asleep in your bed but the tenderness of the past was gone.
He stopped complimenting you, to ask if you were okay, to surprise you with a sweet attention.
You always brushed your hand against his when you walked together.. In silence as usual. He never took your hand. He only continued to walk as if he was alone.
Finally, you asked yourself if you could live the rest of your life like this. You stayed because you were waiting for him to become who he was in the past.
You could even accept this new part of him, if only he took a step towards you.
Just a sign, a word, a gesture towards you. Anything that proved he cared about you.
You waited, and it felt as though you were losing years of your life.
Then, one morning, your suitcases were in the entrance.
The unconditional love you believed in seemed so naive now. So unrealistic.
He woke up, took his breakfast, looked at the baggage but he didn’t say anything.
He knew your relationship was fragile.
He wanted to say ‘stay with me’ but words stayed in his throat.
He wished he could say ‘sorry’, he wished he could explain everything.
But a part of him genuinely thought you would be happier without him.
He had noticed that your smile was rarer, your eyes often red when he came back home.
He knew it was his fault.
And he was convinced that he didn’t deserve you.
If he had come back here, in your shared house, it was because you were the only person who he felt safe with.
The lump that always gnawed at him was less aggressive when you were next to him.
He failed to say ‘I love you’ but everything in his behavior said he loved you.
He always made breakfast when you spent too long in the bathroom.
Every morning, he checked the weather and left your umbrella by the door if rain was expected. He always picked you up when you finished work late so you wouldn't have to take the subway. Whenever possible, he took a day off during your period so you wouldn't have to take care of everything alone. He never forgot important dates like birthdays. He always held doors open for you. He used to put the blanket back on you during your sleep. He stayed by your side even when you were watching a show on TV that did not interest him.
Hundreds of little things. Not out of habit. Because he loved you.
He wanted to make you understand that he was there. That he was present. That he stayed by your side.
But he was walled up in silence, he couldn’t explain what he felt. He couldn’t help it. Every time you tried to talk to him, he became defensive. Not because he didn’t trust you but because it was too painful. As if every time he thought about it, he was reopening an old wound. But if he trusted someone, it was you.
And each time you cried, each time you tried to hide your sadness and your disappointment, he said to himself that he didn’t deserve you.
“They will leave me”, he repeated to himself every time you were late, every time you seemed different.
He noticed everything. And when he understood you were ready to leave, long before you packed your bags, he convinced himself that it was for the best.
When you left, the apartment felt so empty, so oppressive. He finally allowed himself to break down.
He was so mad at himself.
So desperate but convinced that he didn’t deserve better.
And for the first time in years, silent tears rolled down his cheeks.
Sae : The version of You he loved
You had always been the one carrying the relationship but the situation suited both of you.
Because even if Sae wasn’t the most expressive person, you could feel his love.
If his career was his priority, he never neglected you. He simply took care of you in his own way.
A silent way, a discreet way.
He invested much less than you did, but by his standards, it was already a lot. You were never a waste of time to him. You were important, even if, to everyone else, he barely seemed to care.
He wasn't the type to engage in deep conversations about his feelings, fears, or weaknesses. Most of the time, he seemed detached, and he was definitely emotionally unavailable. He never showed vulnerability, but you had accepted that side of him a long time ago.
You were an independent and ambitious person, focused on your own goals and you didn’t need his constant attention.
Your personalities complemented each other perfectly.
You understood each other without words, without grand speeches or declarations of love.
You were always on the same wavelength.
No promise of eternal love, but a life built together, in a pragmatic and realistic way.
He never said it out loud but you had always been his safe place, his anchor.
You missed him when he was abroad, but you never truly suffered from the distance because he always tried to stay in touch, calling you and checking on you whenever his schedule allowed it.
Unlike some other persons he dated before, you could handle his bluntness because he never meant to be rude, he simply said what he thought and you appreciated his constant honesty. He never beat around the bush, never sent mixed signals, never hid anything, never lied.
If you carried the relationship, he took care of everything else : he made sure you never lacked anything. And that was his way of loving you.
So the day the hospital called to tell him you had been in an accident, he came immediately.
Not because it was his duty as your partner. But because he wanted to be by your side.
You had been unconscious for a long time but he knew you were strong and himself and he refused to give in to fear or despair.
His routine barely changed, except that every evening he went to the hospital instead of going home.
His daily life didn’t change much because he was convinced you would be okay, he didn’t let the doubts distract him.
He filled your room with flowers, stocked the closet with your belongings, and left notes in case you woke up while he was away. He knew he couldn’t be at your bedside 24/7 but he wanted you to know that he was there.
Then one day, when he arrived for his usual visit, the doctor stopped him. You were awake. But you had lost your memory.
The medical staff didn’t know whether it was permanent or temporary.
He decided to stay positive because he couldn’t afford to break down. He could handle temporary amnesia.
He filled the blank, talked about who you were, showed you some pictures of your life and followed every advice of the doctor.
He was patient because he was sure everything would return to normal.
But when you left the hospital, you didn’t remember. Just some old memories of your childhood but nothing about him, about you two.
He hired someone to take care of the house and watch over you during his absences.
At first, he stubbornly tried to remind you.
But he didn’t make much effort to take care of you emotionally or romantically because for him, it was only temporary.
You were temporarily another person but you, the real you, would come back to him.
He didn’t waste time with deep and long conversations, he just adjusted his behavior to yours.
He tried, really tried, to stay the same with you but it was too difficult and he felt that the situation made him vulnerable.
He withdrew into himself. He didn’t want to be distracted, to be weak and he knew the reak you would understand.
Months passed but you didn’t remember.
Sae was now familiar to you but something didn’t feel right. You didn’t understand his silence. You were often hurt by his bluntness. And he started to come back home later and to leave the house early.
You couldn’t believe you two were together.
You started to believe that you would never remember the past.
You kept wondering whether you could ever live up to the woman he had loved before the accident. Because you could feel he loved your past self.
Your past self haunted your relationship but every time you expressed your doubts, he simply said you would remember and everything would be normal again. He made no effort to make you fall again, he did not seek to rebuild a new relationship. He simply waited.
As the person you lived with, as the person who took care of you, you couldn’t help but like him and your feelings grew slowly with a mix of frustration and fear.
Because he didn’t like you, the amnesiac you.
You were different, more clingy, less independent and less ambitious.
When he left the country for a championship. He responded when you called but never called you first.
You were worried to death. What if you never remember ? What if he never loved you again ? What if you lost the only pillar of your new life ?
You loved him without knowing he was different, very different from the Sae he used to be around you.
You discovered through your diary, through pictures and texts how your relationship was. The Sae before the accident your diary described didn't match the Sae standing before you.
Your words seemed familiar and new at the same time. And like a curse, you loved this other side of him, you wanted you two to be reunited.
You constantly compared yourself to your other self, you did everything to be like the old you but you were only a pale copy. You couldn’t be that person again.
The distance grew between you. The little attention at the beginning of your recovery disappeared. No more flowers, no more notes left on the fridge, no more calls at lunch.
Just silence and distance.
Two strangers who couldn’t find their way back to each other.
You were you and not you.
You were at an impasse : you tried to win him over while he was still waiting for the person he loved before the accident.
He didn’t leave you. He continued to hope it was temporary while you tried to rebuild your life.
You realised that he would never fall for someone else other than the old you.
It was beautiful and tragic at the same time.
And none of you moved on : you didn’t build another life with someone else and he stayed with you.
You tried to live up to the person he remembered. You wanted to be worthy of his love.
You wanted to be loved but you feared you would never measure up to his memories.
It wasn't that he didn't love you anymore. He loved you so much he couldn't give up even if you weren’t the same person anymore.
He hoped. For you, he could wait his whole life.
He didn't stop waiting for you to come back to him.
He didn’t stop loving someone who didn’t exist anymore.
@papacongvgvuu The softer Rinnie was an illusion 💔
TW : depressed!Rin, mental breakdown in the "right mental state" part (5th image)
First, Rin and Ana talk about the goal of becoming the world’s best striker.
“Any feeling other than murderous intent just gets in the way.” 💔
He doesn’t want to talk with Ana anymore, just when he started "tolerating" her. Maybe he is actually afraid of becoming softer because of others who care about him (?)
"I'm done with you".....💔
