کچھ شعر فقط ان کو سنانے کے لیے ہیں

اب یہ بھی نہیں ٹھیک کہ ہر درد مٹا دیں

کچھ درد کلیجے سے لگانے کے لیے ہیں

سوچو تو بڑی چیز ہے تہذیب بدن کی

ورنہ یہ فقط آگ بجھانے کے لیے ہیں

آنکھوں میں جو بھر لو گے تو کانٹوں سے چبھیں گے

یہ خواب تو پلکوں پہ سجانے کے لیے ہیں  

یہ علم کا سودا یہ رسالے یہ کتابیں

صدا یہ آئی مدینے میں مغربین کے بعد

رسولؐ کیسے رہیں گے یہاں حسین ؑ کے بعد

nothing i say will be new, and you know exactly what i want to say anyway. as palestinians, we spend way too much of our time and energy begging for people to recognise our humanity. at this point im so fucking tired. is there anything else to say that hasn’t been said already?

how do you justify this? was he really a threat to the state? these are rhetorical questions but had i asked seriously, i know that at best i’ll get those who want to separate the actions of the state from the state itself, too fucking oblivious to realise that the state is maintained through these very acts of aggression.
