“My vote goes to Jamaica, but you know I am always for relaxing by the ocean with a drink in my hand,” I reply with a chuckle before looking towards Lena and Addison to see where they want to go.  As long as we are all going together it will be a great trip.   

“Oh, the safari! We learned about that in school. I love animals but I’d like to go to Jamaica too! Maybe we could go on a cruise! Doesn’t that sound like fun?” I smile happily with a fork full of salad still in my mouth. “I’d bet there would be a bunch of kids on the boat that I could play with.”

“I am sure it will be wonderful,” I tell Addison as I place some salad on Lena’s plate and then hers.  I reach for Dylan’s plate and add some salad to it before passing it back and dishing out my own salad.  “Everything looks wonderful.  Did you enjoy cooking Lena?” I ask.  

“I loved cooking! I liked shopping for the right ingredients and measuring them up to the correct amounts. My favorite part about it though, was mixing all of the ingredients up together to make your dish.” I smile as I begin eating my salad. “Um,” I say enjoying my salad yet also remembering that Dylan asked me the other day if I’d like to take some cooking classes with her. “Dyl, are we still going to do the cooking classes together?”

“Which would you prefer Lena?” I ask when Addison asks everyone if they would want dinner first or the movie.  I take a long sip of my water and glass around the kitchen.  Nothing has changed here, so much has changed in our lives but nothing about the house has changed.  I’ve always found it odd how that happens.  

"Hum", I think to myself when my Teddy asks what I want to do for dinner. "Well, I did set the table... but I kind of like the idea of dinner while watching the movie." I say with a smile. It's so nice to have everyone together again AND were planning a vacation! But it's getting closer to the school year and I'm sure my parents are going to ask me if I want to skip 6th grade. It's getting closer to the time I have to get registered for school. I've been thinking but I'm not totally sure just yet.
