It’s not hard to spot Audri. The magnetism between them makes it impossible to enter a room and pretend she’s not there. Or wasn’t there minutes before.

She’s beautiful. And he’s definitely missed a few different stages of her life but she’s the same Audri.

Her guest is unwelcome. And Kiyoomi dislikes him on principle. As he approaches, however he notices the tightness of the man’s pants, the fake Rolex, the boat shoes…the floral print shirt….

He frowns, pauses to ensure it is Audri sitting across from the man and then gives him another cursory once over.

Maybe Audri is desperate.

Regardless, both parties look up at him when his shadow falls across their table.

“Get lost,” he says, eyes glued to Audri.

“Huh?” The man sputters.

Kiyoomi glances at him dispassionately. He reaches into his holster as he pulls out the other empty chair at the table and sinks into it. His gun is gently placed between them.

“Get lost before I turn you into something resembling that repulsive foie gras,” he smiles tightly at Audri. “You look beautiful as always Ms Madden.”
