“i’m going to write a letter to my mom before i die and it will be a list of every reason that i should have stayed alive. it won’t have any of the excuses and i want her to be able to read it over and over and over and remember that things used to be okay, they really did and i need her to take it to our library and she’ll make copies and nail them on every telephone pole in our town. the writing will be a little warped and maybe it’ll rain and mess everything up but there’s still the reminder there, you know the bad things will stay with me. the excuses
