If anyone else told Diana that they missed the person they were dating when they were apart for such a short drive, she would have called overdramatic, but she felt herself yearning to be back with Drew as soon as her seatbelt was on. The whole drive was spent just replaying the kisses in her head, and as if on auto-pilot, she arrived at the apartment without even realising she was there. She chuckled at the lame joke, rolling her eyes as she took hold of Drewâs hand. She let out another small laugh at the command. âIf you insist.â She watched as Drew retreated out the room, as she settled into the couch. Looking around, she spotted the remote, and switched on the TV, onto some sitcom rerun, something she could pretend she was watching while she waited. It was easy for her to get comfortable, as she was told, as she felt at ease surrounded by Drewâs things. Her gaze was constantly scanning around, taking in the little things that just made it so her. Kicking off her shoes, she curled her legs underneath her, her eyes falling back onto the TV, not really paying attention as she listened to the various sounds coming from Drewâs direction, a smile on her face.
As Drew hopped into the shower, she couldnât help her body just falling to the side against the wall for a moment. She just thought about how he day spontaneously turned around and all because Diana decided to show up at her practice. Proving more and more to Drew that this was something she definitely wanted and almost lived her day to day life now just thinking about Diana, waiting to talk to her and see her. She had plans to just get back to her house and do some homework that wasnât even due for another week, text Diana and chill out. But now sheâs got the company of the girl and suddenly her day a million times better. Drew washed up as quick as she could, but spent time on her hair, trying to get the chlorine smell out, as if it hadnât been stuck in there since her first swim team back at age 10. Exiting, she dressed and dried her hair as much as she could with the towel, deciding to let the rest air dry. Hanging the now damp towel up, Drew ran out of her room and spotted Diana. She jumped right into her lap and wrapped her arms around the girlâs neck. âHi.â She smiled, just seeing how comfortable Diana was. âBetter idea,â she started, shifting around to get more comfortable. âInstead of ordering pizza, letâs make food together. I think I have everything needed to make Mexican, and I donât know about you, but tacos sound really good right about now. What do you say?â
