“A philosopher once asked, ‘Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at the stars because we are human?’ Pointless really. Do the stars gaze back? Now that’s a question.” @drewperth

“Considering most stars are dead and they are millions of light years away, I don’t give them that much weight or relevance. So I would say all those questions are pointless. Romantic, sure, but not all that philosophical.”

“Can’t we just try to get oolong?”

"     Don’t you ever get tired of the puns? You have to be wasting a lot of brain capacity thinking of them.”

          “I’m a horrible dancer, just so you know,” Odessa laughed, swaying to the music. “I think I’d have a problem waltzing anyway.” She might have been a decent athlete, but grace had never been her style. Which explained the failed ballet lessons when she was little.

“There’s no such thing, buttercup,” Drew chimed. “So long as you’re moving, you’re doing just fine. Think of it as an alternative exercise rather than running. Kind of the same concept, only you move in more directions.” 

          “Alright, fine. One dance,” Odessa grinned. The dark haired girl stood up and looked at the dance floor. She gulped down the rest of her alcohol spiked punch. Double the alcohol thanks to her flask.

"Now that’s what I’m talking about.” Drew put on a successful smile of her own as she stood, doing a little twirl as she held onto the edges of her dress. “And you picked the perfect song too. Not that I would have minded waltzing with you with that last number that was played.”

          “No, no. I don’t want to dance. I pulled a muscle yesterday flying.” 

"That’s fine! I guess we can just...sit here. And drink. While I stare longingly at the dance floor. Can’t leave a fellow badger behind after all.”
