“Superherophobia”
Directed by Drew J. Allen and Seth Gamez
Okay, I’ve got a really special treat for you guys today. A collection of worn faces convene for their weekly support group meeting over the unjust brutality they face from super-heroes, when an unwelcomed stranger decides to join them and listen to their stories. What separates this film from other tales about caped crusaders is that this film focuses more on the citizens; the ordinary people who are left dealing with the after-math of the super-beings actions. Needless to say, this film’s tale acts as a thinly veiled metaphor for the rampant episodes of police brutality populating within the media. The super-heroines standing in for the authoritative police and the support group representing the disenfranchised individuals getting the short end of the stick. With that being said, the filmmakers make a note of challenging said narrative of authoritative brutality in more ways than one. I don’t want to give too much away for risk of spoiling, but I will say that the filmmakers manage to color in that grey area between the simplistic binaries of black and white. A mention should also be made to filmmakers talents; Wesley Kirk’s cinematography is on point creating the films dreary color palate a la “Man of Steel”, the actors showcase splendid performances, and the two directors handle this ensemble cast with the slightest of ease preventing the story from becoming too dark or overtly sentimental. Bottom line; watch this film, you won’t regret it. Enjoy!

Out, Flush, The Moral of the Story, and Superherophobia
5/23/2015
It’s been a busy couple of months! Last week Flush (Written and Directed By Myself) and Out (Produced by Myself) both premiered at the UNT Short Film Club Spring Screening. With final touches being placed on both, the final online versions will be completed soon within the next few weeks!
In the meantime, I’m in the midst of preproduction for a project called Superherophobia. It’s being written and directed by myself, and co-directed by a good friend of mine named Seth Gamez. We have a stellar cast and crew behind us and we couldn’t be more excited to begin shooting (in less than two weeks!).
After that there may be a possible sequel to The Moral of the Story, that possibly ties in with Flush??
Stay tuned for further updates!

Flush: Behind The Scenes
Flush in postproduction
2/8/2015
Last month we completed principal photography on Flush, a film I wrote and directed.
The shoot turned out to be an incredible experience and now our editor is hard at work finishing up post production work.
We're looking to have the film make an online premiere in the next few weeks or so. Keep an eye out! In the meantime, here's some behind the scenes photos from the shoot.
Flush is on the way
1/14/2015
Hello all.
The fall was a great success, as I got the pleasure of being a part of a great short film called A Date With Death, which premiered at the UNT Short Film Club screening in December. Every seat in the auditorium was packed, and it was a great night overall.
Now begins a new year and a new semester, and I'm excited to announce that Flush, a script that I pitched to the Short Film Club a while back and been in development for a few months now is finally moving forward with production! I'll be writing and directing, and we've gathered an amazing cast and crew to put this thing together. Shooting starts this weekend.
More updates coming soon!

A Date With Death, Flush, and other future projects.
9/18/2014
With the fall semester in full swing, the UNT Short Film Club is plunging into a new line of productions.
At the head of this new wave of films are the three official productions, A Date With Death, Exit Room, and Playing House.
Just this week it was announced that I have landed the Assistant Director role on A Date With Death. The following is the film's synopsis: After a near-death experience, a woman falls in love with Death. She then begins murdering her blind dates in order catch a glimpse of him again.
In addition to ADWD, I also pitched a script called Flush, which may move forward as an unofficial production.
More details on those as they progress further!
