Cannifornia. 🥀
I shot this more than ten years ago. At this times I was still living in Cannes, my hometown. I think it was a turning point for me - Shooting this adolescents messing up around the city - I have seen myself more interested on the melancolia between high/tricks moment than the action himself.
It’s been after that my main fascination.
The Magazine I created « Desillusion » was the voice of it. Looking back at it, I didn’t know that I had found something that will be my obsession. At this time and in the world of « testosterone » first, it bring me a lot of trouble. I get broke for most of my life ( surf and skate industry are only interested about action ) and bought my first « real » camera at the age of 30. Looking back at this project, I realize that I was blind before. and truly, Photography/film give to me, new eyes & a way to express my melancolia 🥀 forever grateful to have found my path. (à Cannes)
