I love the fact that almost every account i read about maladaptive daydreamers knowing and reading about it for the first time initially thought that they were alone in it.

Like… for most of us, this was such a private and intimate thing. It was something we seemingly just did, and was as naturally a part of our lives as breathing or eating. We never knew how to explain it, much less explain it to others.

I used the "3rd gen tag" for both Rocco and Odette and thought I'd explain what that means. So basically, when I first started daydreaming it was a place where I'd ship my favourite pairings. I'd call that 0 gen. 0 gen evolved into 1st gen because I ended up getting most attached to Trish and John as my main ship and everything started evolving around them. 1st gen led to 1.5 gen and this is where the MK characters became the main supporting cast.

Then we have 2nd gen, which was the coming of the Marvel people (this was before the movies were hype tho) and the support was mixed MK and Marvel. 2nd gen grew into a 2.5 of it's own which is probably the biggest my world ever became.

There was a bit of "spring cleaning" thereafter bc too many people in one go and this part I dub New Gen. Because it was new at the time and didn't really connect well with anything before it. Additionally this became the passing of the torch generation so it felt more than apt to call it New Gen while all the previous characters became the Old Guard.

This New Gen lasted the longest imo and was overall the strongest to me storywise. New Gen ultimately had a spring cleaning thing too and that's lead us to 3rd gen. A place comprising almost entirely of my OC's. Being the first gen to feature any prominent OC's honestly. Anyway yeah here was another text dump.

So I mentioned Odette in the last post, and thought it's only fair to mention Rocco. He's the guy who helped Odette escape. I got his full name Rocco Tiepolo from a randomly generated sim in my Sims 4 save lmao. Anyway, while Odette is friendly yet a little reserved, Rocco is a lot more animated I guess.
