Dream Therapy

Today marks 6 years of having this guy as a muse! I, of course, am still very much enjoying every second of it..but I think that’s been pretty evident. It’s been such a pleasure to watch him grow in his craft with every new project and I’m clearly still here supporting him through it all..And I know many of you are, too.🖤

So for today’s post, I decided to create something using ink! How fitting, considering the character, right? I haven’t worked with it in literal years so I thought I’d create a practice piece just to see if I still got it..and now I want to go out and pick up some other colors and work with them more. No surprise.😝

Here he is!! After over three weeks of literal daily planning and working on this guy..he is finally finished. I’m so happy with the result! He’s probably my most detailed painting I’ve done to date, besides my Rico portrait, and I’ve gotta say I’ve definitely learned a lot from working on him. It has changed my way on how I paint skin for the better and taught me even more about painting bokeh. I am exhausted, though, and plan on taking a very long sleep after this.😂

Thanks to those of you that slid into my DMs n’ chatted with me and kept me sane through this little journey..it was very appreciated and needed.🖤

Taking photos of this was super difficult due to the lens causing light and color distortion in areas of the painting..but this always happens, so it’s not surprising.🙃 So I, of course, added up close detail shots over on my Instagram to give you a better look at him. Enjoy!!🌿
