DREAMSAND-MIRACLES:
Admittedly, Sandy wasnât entirely sure what he was doing, or what drew him to where he was. Perhaps it was boredom, or simple curiosity. Or perhaps he knew who he would find if he were to venture away. Whatever the case was, he was there now.
Tilting his head slightly, Sandy directed a stream of his dreamsand towards one of the alligators, mainly because he was a bit curious about how the creature would respond, but also slightly in response to her comment. Most creatures dreamed after all, and admittedly, Sandy did have a certain fondness for any creature that made their homes around the water. Though he did keep the stream from touching the creature, not entirely sure why she was with the creatures, but not wanting to cause any (potentially unfortunate) disturbances nonetheless.
And so, Sandy gave Mother Nature a simple shrug in response, though still grinning brightly up at her. However, curiosity did get the better of him, as his golden eyes flicked from her towards her alligator (friends? subjects? experiments?) in a silent question of what she was doing with them.
THE ALLIGATORS HISS in chorus with each other, which by itself is quite a menacing sound to slice into the cooling dusk air, but theyâre simply excited. mother nature can hear and discern their more subtle sounds, and most are chirping about fireflies or about the sun. they stay close to seraphina, however, unwilling to actually touch the vibrant golden streams dancing above their heads.
mother nature is even more careful in avoiding them, stepping elegantly to lengthen the distance between them.
â children, â she corrects in a slightly softer voice. â this group in particular is exhibiting a gene mutation that i did not create. â sanderson should thank whatever powers at be that mother natureâs capricious nature is somewhat tame at the moment. â itâs nothing serious. at least, not for now. â
â âŚif you wish to give them dreams, you would have to come back in the morning. â some alligators weave through the water and away, hissing what can only be assumed is a word of farewell to their mother. â their activity is only beginning. â
Sandy nodded at her words, watching with interest at the alligatorsâ movement. He did not entirely understand what a âgene mutationâ could be, nor what it could do to cause concern. But if it were something that she deemed important enough to investigate, then he would respect her work.
He waved a small hand in a simple manner, the bright strands dispersing into wisps in the wind at the movement. (Though he did file away her suggestion of bringing dreams back in the morning, perhaps he would take her up on that.)
He allowed himself to land on the ground though. bouncing slightly on the tips of his toes once he was grounded. Above his head a pair of eyes formed in sand, looking suspiciously like Mother Natureâs own, before he pointed towards the retreating alligators in a silent question. A bit curious, if he were to be honest, about what exactly it was that she was wanting to observe with this âgene mutation.â
Sorry I havenât been on in a hot minute, Iâve finally gotten the chance to play DND and Iâve been a bit obsessed trying to flesh out my character.

AS DUSK FALLSacross this part of the earthâs hemisphere, shadows yawn across these wetlands through great pillars of trees and their creeping roots. the sun retreats, and yet thousands of flashing lights can be seen in glimpses as animals of all sorts are merely beginning their activities. mother nature is no exception â she stands waist-deep in the river, draped in the dark, sooty greens of algae and dead leaves. surrounding her are six pairs of golden eyes that match her own, too bright against the growing darkness.
the shiver across her skin is familiar. therefore it is unwanted.
â the nearest human settlement is 4 leagues from here. â reptilian hisses follow her voice, as her hand rests on what appears to be a large snout sporting brutal, jagged teeth. â unless youâve expanded your reach to alligators without my knowledge. â

My dream is that one day Annapantsu on Youtube will do a cover of Mr. Sandman by the Chordettes
It took me like, fifty tries, but I was finally able to log in again!
@dreamsand-miraclesâ cont from â
â â he stopped his pacing when Sandyâs hand touched his arm, choosing instead to sit down where he was with another huff. his fingers tapping along his staff to help get out some of his extra anxiety over the situation. blue eyes flicking away from Sandyâs face to see the little question mark created. he wanted to know more? was it worth telling him the details? heâd find out eventually, may as well tell his side of the story.
â soâŚ. I might have broken one of Northâs model toys that he was working on? I just wanted to see if I could add to it! I was trying to be helpfulâŚÂ âÂ
Sandy nodded as his listened to Jackâs explanation. Noticing how anxious the boy was acting about the situation. It was sense as to why he was so distressed over the situation, but Sandy knew that the situation wasnât as dire as Jack was making it sound. North had had plenty of his designs accidently destroyed over the years. He doubted North would be angry at the boy, especially if he knew that it was an accident.Â
But how best to explain this to Jack?Â
After contemplating it for a moment, Sandy formed the image of a candy cane and a snowflake, with a daffodil between them.Â
â Look, donât you get it?! I screwed up! I mean, for two seconds, I thought that maybe I could do something right, but â ! â
Sandy tilted his head, before a soft smile spread across his lips. Lifting one of his tiny hands he gently patted Jack's arm, shaking his head as he tried to assure the frozen trickster that he didn't mess things up. (At least, not as badly as he was claiming, admittedly Sandy wasn't entirely sure what Jack had done.)
As he patted the boy's arm, he formed a question mark from his dreamsand, hoping that maybe if he talked about whatever it was that was upsetting him, that maybe it would help Jack feel better.

The night was cool, and the stars twinkled brightly in the canvas of black that hung above the heads of the worldâs inhabitants. It was an average peaceful night, one that Sandy had seen for thousands of nights, and one that he expected to appreciate for thousands more.Â
As he floated around the area, his dreamsand spreading to the children of the world, Sandy caught sight of someone whom he hadnât seen in some time. Someone whom he wasnât entirely sure if he wanted to see again at all.Â
But curiosity got the best of him, as Sandy floated over towards where this individual was, wondering what he was doing out, in this town in particular.Â
