Sometimes, when I was a kid, and getting "entertained" by adults....I would wonder if they knew we knew what they were attempting to do....such as with "I got your nosey!" and the like.....puppetry is another one that comes to mind. Talking to a stuffed toy-looking thing and you know the adult has their hand behind the mouth-parts.....and not knowing that it's fake is just "nuts", is what I thought in those moments. I think I may have been Too Serious π€£It always made me feel embarrassed, a bit, for the adults. I didn't realize not all kids thought like me. Some kids believed in sentient puppets and the tooth fairy......As an adult now myself (sort of) I believe it's VERY hard to gauge what sort of kid you're dealing with. Is it one with ample imagination and not a drop of precociousness, or is it a regular kid who believes all adults always? If I'm to be considered, it's usually the quiet ones who have time to observe before reacting that might be the ones to catch on "too quick'. I just wonder what it means about me because frankly, I'm probably the most unhinged person you'll meet....that's also polite and stuff like that. Like you wouldn't know it just from the first five years of knowing me...but I'm actually pretty ridiculous and bizarre and off-the-wall bonkers. Not a Cultivated Bonkers. This one's True Bonkers.

Who the Fuck Am I?!

I just had an idea, and went with it. And I don't know where the fuck it's going, but it's going.....this was JUST ONE DAY, too. WTFUCK?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to buy a cord for my pen display today. I missed using my ipad, but it crapped out earlier this year so I had to fall back on the pen tablet but there's something about seeing what you're drawing as you draw it without needing to use hand-eye coordination. It feels more fluid. I opened the box up today that held the display and realized it's devoid of the power cord, sadly. Good think huion carries the cord for the 16 incher from 2021 still! It was a good tablet, I just didn't think I'd need it because i had an ipad too and used that more often. Then I let my bf use it a bunch and he got frustrated with the cord not charging and he shoved some pins into the input for the power cord so it's dead, now.
I'm having an odd feeling about days of yore and the current days. I used to think I had problems. They were choirboys compared to today's problems.
I mean...I barely complain, these days. It's easy to complain when you're complacent. That's the lesson my 30s taught me.
I've been weirdly sleeping like all day for the past week, now. It's probably stress & eye strain, honestly.

It's All Greek Yogurt To Me, Now
I usually hesitate on things that are too trendy when it comes to foods. I didn't really ever try avocado on toast once, and I regretted the one sip of the peanut butter bacon milkshake from Sonic my bf had me try.... but damn if I love Greek Yogurt! It seems like it's custardy, but that's just the copious amounts of protein, I guess.
I did an experiment today. I bought greek vanilla yogurt and peach yogurt (American-Regular)....the nutrition labels spoke a lot about why people were pushing the Greek-style yogurt over the other types.
I never want to go back to the Am-Reg yogurt again. I only want yogurt of the Greek persuasion from here on out.
Who even am I?! .....it's ok, I'm actually just kidding here I know who I am. It's just....damn if I don't love this trend.
Also...my job is kinda tough this month. Not much work. So it's probably good that I found Greek Yogurt when I did because it's still relatively cheap and I held out long enough to get the nice prices that come along with store-brand items on the shelves.

Spending Time
I just realized, not for the first time of course, that time is a currency. We are finite, and so our time is a commodity. As such, we have to make sure we invest in ourselves too. What makes us happy? What's a good investment? What benefits us?
I was taught, growing up, to discount myself in a myriad of ways. It's unfortunate.
