Written by Capn Cumulus, as of 2026 I'm 34 years old! Popuri is 25 years old! Potential verses in the works! "You're shivering!"

Such a young boy, out in the snow like this? She had been running the moment she'd noticed, what was he doing under the old tree? No formalities, Popuri dropped to her knees, wrapping her coat around the child. It lead to a shiver herself, and while she handled cold much better than heat, it was important that both of them get indoors as soon as possible.

"You're not from here, why are you by yourself? Please, come with me, we both need to be somewhere warm."

A cold gust left the woman shivering more fervently, though she didn't hug herself in an attempt to maintain any warmth. She held out an arm, palm open. Soft hands, nothing but worry in her rose colored eyes. No scolding, only the urgent, gentle plea to hold her hand. Someone unfamiliar with these woods could get lost. Anyone without proper clothes could end up a total icicle, and this child was only in a coat, and scarf!

"What's your name? I'm Popuri, it's a little walk from here, but my family's home is in town. We can warm up there, and then I'll walk you home. How does that sound?"

A song, nothing more than an aria.

Nothing inspired Popuri quite like mid spring. Shimmery pink curls that flowed in the sunlight, with gentle eyes of the same shade to match, the woman twirled, lost in her own dream while she watered the garden near her family's store. It was her own, yet on full display, no one took care of plants in her family quite like she did. Popuri could chock it up to school, her father was a certified botanist. He saw things so scientifically, not magical at all. A viewpoint to be respected, though she didn't share it.

Not to say she didn't know every scientific fact he'd taught her. Popuri just chose to view it through a more magical lens.

Her mother handled the store. Finances, dealing with customers, she had only the time for small gardens in the back. She was more happy to be a housewife, though there wasn't a hint of denial from Popuri, nor anyone else in Flowerbudd Village that Lillia was a masterful business woman. Firm, and where it could be fairly applied, kind.

"🎶There are wake up in the Morning Glories In the golden afternoon🎶--

--Oh!"

How embarrassing, for one of her twirls to have so needlessly lead her into colliding with a stranger. A bow was given, curls falling and rising in turn, eyes now bright, smile a blend of gentility and vibrance all in one.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you. You were so quiet..." Or was it because she'd been lost in her dream world? "Are you here to shop? You can pick anything you want, the door is around the corner. Oh," What better way to spread some sunshine, than to offer something of herself? That had nothing to do with business. Bending from her back, Popuri snipped a stem with precision, gardening tools were always in the basket around her arm.

A cluster of white flowers were offered.

"This is one of my favorite's. Baby's Breath, why don't you have it?"

Popuri lives with her family. Her mother runs the florist shop, her father is a botanist. Its been in the family for generations. She's the granddaughter of Nina, from Harvest Moon for the Super Nintendo

When it comes to plants, Popuri is just as skilled as her parents. Though her area of expertise is flowers, she knows all about growing vegetables, and herbs as well. She understands medicine to an extent, what plants can ease what diseases, or ease the pain of a wound

She loves bright, sunny days

Her favorite thing to eat is fresh strawberries. She also loves sweets, on days off she'll often be found in the bakery, spending time with her best friend Elli, and having a slice of veryberry pie

Popuri's favorite season is the spring. Summer is her least favorite, she has difficulty handling heat. Autumn makes her sad, as all the plants are dying. Cold is easier for her to handle, she prefers winter to summer or autumn, as she can feel that spring is just around the corner

She's a hopeless romantic, and not oblivious in any way. She's simply the type to be, as her mom puts it, 'aggressive' with her feelings. If she sees a reason to state them, she will

Popuri believes in magic, in realistic ways. She finds magic in the sun's rays spilling through a cloudy day, or a flower's petals unfurling in the warmth of daylight. To her, that's what real magic is

The townsfolk of Flower Budd Village often claim, that Popuri has the most beautiful voice of anyone in the entire village. Her speaking voice is sweet, and her singing voice is like an angel's. She loves to sing when she's tending to the flowers. Should the Harvest King choose her to help drive negative spirits away for the new year, Popuri uses her voice instead of a physical instrument
