Here is my island customization (without using the Palette House) that nobody's interested in.
I initially planned to make it like the terrain in OT1. So I made the coastline based on the art book, and after using buildings to represent towns, I was at a loss.
Later, I changed my approach. Instead of trying to completely replicate the map, I focused on creating an island that retained the location and unique features of the region.
This area is based on the Riverlands.
Although there are two large cities in the game, it is still based on Alfyn's hometown.
Based on the Cliftlands. Without making mountains, I don't know how to create the effect of cliffs, but regional colors can be reproduced using red.
Based on the Woodlands. Just fill it with lots of trees. One half feels dense, while the other half is designed for scenic views.
Based on the Frostlands. Because it's a snowy mountain area, a white base is used. I'm curious if the game will have snow floors to use in winter.
However, since it's difficult to decorate just a snowy (white) ground, I made a path. I may change the tree type if the game adds winter-limited trees in the future, if I'm still playing the game then.
I wanted to make it like Flatlands... but it doesn't really look like it anymore. The throne was placed there because Atlasdam has a castle.
The Coastlands, therefore, means coastline and beaches. Other than that, it doesn't have any other defining features.
By the way, I initially modeled the entire island after Rippletide, but as the island grew larger and the population increased, I realized I needed to re-modify it, hence the current design.
Base on the Highlands. Again, no mountains.
The fountain was placed here because Shepherds Rock(OT0) has a fountain. And the empty space next to the fountain is because I ran out of ideas, but I figured I could put a house there when I add a new Mii, so I left it empty.
Base on the Sunlands. So, sand.
There aren't any round bushes to pair with oases in this game, and the areas around oases are quite empty. I may consider adding things later.
To be honest, in OT1, the inland sea isn't that big, and the bridge in the east isn't that long either. However, dividing the area into squares is still quite convenient.
If I had made some things myself, like mountains and denser trees, I might have been able to try out the design I initially created based on the map. But as someone who isn't good at drawing and has no design talent... I think I've done my best with my OT-theme island.
I miraculously got these seven people to live together!
As for Osvald... He's a bit of a problem, since he has a hard time making friends.
I'll see if he moves in first or if Throné and Castti ask me for a child first. (Except for Osvald, I let them develop all sorts of romantic relationships freely. And those two got married just five days after I added them in, which really surprised me.)
