This whole series of animations have been almost entirely unreferenced, ive felt really experimental with the perspectives lately and this shot in particular made me constantly smile and laugh while i worked on this . some random things: Pan often enters a trance and can bake bread for hours on end . she finds the activity so relaxing and fun that it may as well count as sustenance for her She likes to listen to bossa nova while working . i plan on having her sway in beat with the music that plays, but playing bossa nova is way beyond my abilities right now . in the future maybe this animation plays while she shows the player how to make bread

Snouse are mice / snail therians . They have fluffy worm like body, that feels like a seal (super short fur and fat) when touching it . I decided to make them fluffy because the idea of them secreting slime would mean they could dissolve when exposed to water which is too sad to me . I want them to be able to eat salty foods and swim . They live in their shells . Functionally they are like portable huts . many shells have a chimney . The shell is different depending on where the Snouse is from (forest Snice grow their own shells for example, and beach ones grab beach shells) . Many are hunched over posture-wise due to the shell . . they are naturally very small (around two inches, based on actual snail and mouse / rat size) and so people often forget they're around. it is common to see them using potions that make them around 4-5 foot tall temporarily. however, the potions can harm them if they use them too often When they move, they make a squeak noise as their body lumbers about on the floor . They are very slow, which gives them a lot to think about, as everything is slow for them to do . If you talk to a Snouse, they may have something philosophical to speak about , so they can come across as strange . Despite the slowness, many are nomadic and migrate frequently . They seem to have a fascination with travelling to volcanos in particular The potion use gives them the side effect of an unending stomach, so they tend to eat a ton . If travelling through people's garden's or land, it is not uncommon for them to devour everything in their path . To avoid this, owners of the space often leave designated pathways for them to (hopefully) follow, along with small offerings of food to tide them along as they move . Pan is one such person who does this, though she likes to leave leftover bread out for anyone to freely take anyway That's all off the top of my head .
