NIGHTMARE / VISION

I'm in the process of sprucing things up, making things more accessible/easier to read/making sure there's at least an accessible option, updating things etc. and part of that is adding on new verses both for his main timeline and alternate universe ones. These two are part of his 𝑴𝑨𝑰𝑵 𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑬𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑬 and are his 𝑴𝑨𝑰𝑵 𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑬𝑺.

𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑺 𝑰𝑺 𝑯𝑰𝑺 𝑴𝑨𝑰𝑵 𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑬

Age Range: 21 to about mid 30s or so.

After  a  very  tumultuous  education  at  𝕱𝖆𝖚𝖑𝖐𝖓𝖊𝖗 𝕬𝖈𝖆𝖉𝖊𝖒𝖞  which  included  a  brief  stint  at  𝕽𝖊𝖎𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖓𝖇𝖆𝖈𝖍  𝕬𝖈𝖆𝖉𝖊𝖒𝖞  Xavier  managed  to  make  it  out  of  high  school  𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄  and  𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲  intact .  He  went  on  to  study  at  the  𝕻𝖎𝖈𝖐𝖒𝖆𝖓  𝕮𝖔𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖌𝖊  𝖋𝖔𝖗  𝖙𝖍𝖊  𝕬𝖗𝖙𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖞  𝕴𝖓𝖘𝖆𝖓𝖊  where  he  quickly  rose  to  stardom  as  a  prolific  and  supernaturally  potent  artist ,  graduating  top  of  his  class  and  loaded  down  with  awards  after  his  one  of  his  final  paintings  literally  drove  his  instructor  𝖎𝖓𝖘𝖆𝖓𝖊 .

He  now  works  as  an  artist ,  living  in  a  house  he's  vaguely  attempting  to  renovate  (  he's  getting  around  to  it  he  swears  )  and  trying  to  avoid  the  kinds  of  fame  he  doesn't  want.  He's  still  trying  to  stay  out  of  his  𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑'𝐒  𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐖 ,  so  he  rarely  does  any  work  directly  related  to  his  psychic  abilities  and  instead  wants  to  be  known  for  his  artwork .  He  is  however  kind  of  a  massive  hater  of  a  lot  of  how  the  art  world  works  so  he's  kind  of  one  of  those  artists  you  know  only  if  you're  very  entrenched  in  the  space .

While  he  does  a  lot  of  illustration  work  for  things  like  books  and  comics  because  he  enjoys  it  (  and  it's  a  more  consistent  income  than  say ,  gallery  sales  )  he  does  sell  paintings  and  take  commissions  for  them .  Some  people  explicitly  seek  him  out  for  his  𝐔𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂  𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒 ,  wanting  some  kind  of  supernatural  effects  to  their  painting .  Those  rarely  ever  𝖊𝖓𝖉  𝖜𝖊𝖑𝖑   but  it's  a  good  pay  check .  He  tends  to  not  sell  the  paintings  related  to  visions  or  that  he  knows  are  cursed  but  that  does  mean  his  basement  is  getting  very  crowded  with  some  immensely  𝖇𝖆𝖉  𝖛𝖎𝖇𝖊𝖘 . . .

Age Range: 18-21

Xavier  miraculously  survived  high  school  and  was  accepted  to  the  𝕻𝖎𝖈𝖐𝖒𝖆𝖓   𝕮𝖔𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖌𝖊   𝖋𝖔𝖗   𝖙𝖍𝖊   𝕬𝖗𝖙𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖞   𝕴𝖓𝖘𝖆𝖓𝖊  where  he  is  now  majoring  in  𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈  with  double  minors  in  𝖕𝖘𝖞𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖈  𝖉𝖎𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖘𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖆𝖑  𝖙𝖚𝖓𝖓𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖌  and  𝒂𝒓𝒕  𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 .  He's  doing  well  in  his  new  environment  and  living  in  an  off  campus  apartment  with  a  roommate .  He  works  at  the  campus  bookstore ,  trying  to  stay  off  his  dad's  payroll  as  much  as  possible .

“I don’t come from Hell, I came from the forest”

the fact that her fingers feel like she's shoved them in ice water is kind of the worst part. no, of course the fire couldn't take out the shitty rooms. of course the desks in study hall look like they're going to fall apart if she breathes at them too hard. anything else would be too easy. 

" PROBABLY. But hey if they break while we're sitting on them we can probably use that as an excuse to SUE or something. Then maybe they'd be forced to renovate this hellhole. "

He sighs and leans back, still trying to find an angle where his knees are banging against the bottom of the desk. The chair groans ominously and he reconsiders the move.

i don't like it when you're evasive.

alice is silent, averts her eyes from where he is looking at her. all these secrets, the mystery surrounding herself. her entire being. it seems that although the chaos of life had left her on her own, lonesome, with no one to turn to. it kept insisting upon itself that xavier should play a part in all of this. which, she didn't know entirely how to feel. she sighed, and turned to him. she'd been ignoring him, running away like she knows best, finding the smallest places she could fit and just. leaving no trace. there is some merit in him finding her. like this, away from the crowd where she thinks no one would look. no one but him, she guesses.

"is it so terrible? to be a mystery? to be unknown in all the ways that do not matter and known in the ways that i deem to be of matter..." she starts, words getting the better of her. if alice is evasive then she's something else too, she's defensive, with her guard up. walls built of stone, terribly difficult to crumble down. "-you'll find it that i will be unevasive, at some point i believe, you'll have questions and i'll have answers...you'll find that when you look for me and you really look, i'll be there." maybe what xavier doesn't like is the mirror that alice can be. the reflection off green emerald eyes. but she doesn't want to get too ahead of herself, ahead of both of them. perhaps it is time she puts trust into the right hands. "and i suppose it is in the best interest of this ever blossoming situation that, i start, trying that is being here." she isn't entirely sure if that is supposed to be an apology. or if its assurance. she looks at him, let's him choose, whatever that is.

" There's mystery and privacy and then there's omission and obfuscation. I don't mind privacy, I do mind omission. " He looks down at her steadily, in the quiet away from everyone. She's so small and fragile looking like antique doll but he can also feel the palpable CHAOS of her. Alice isn't a singular person as she is a jumble of parts that make an Alice, a jigsaw puzzle that she tries to rearrange constantly, to solve with no clues. It's hypnotic and DANGEROUS. He worries for her a lot, wonders if she'll ever make an Alice she likes.

" And one man's trash is another man's savior — you have no way of knowing what matters TO ME. I know I could get the answers out of you if I wanted, I have plenty of ways of SEEING and you're as open as glass if the angle's right, but I don't think it'd be right to do that to you. No one wants their diary read without their consent. Just because a window is open doesn't mean you have the right to stick your HEAD in. "
