The Dreamer

10 outta 10 movie. I loved it as much as the original. Definitely one of my favourites.

Me: I can't do this. I don't understand the question.

Friend: We need incentive.

*Sees question about a concert*

Me: I've found my incentive.

*Writes that it is a Panic! At The Disco concert that I will be going to*

Me: Why did I decide to start this? Ugh it looks horrible.

Friend: excuse me? I thought we talked about the negativity.

Me: I'm simply stating facts

Me: *Continues while friend stares at me in disbelief*

Me: 'maybe this might actually turn out okay.'

Friend: wow. This sucks. Mine looks horrible.

Me: Excuse Me?

You know how people say that they hate hospital hallways? The long ailes, with death waiting on either side. People being transported from place to place by gurnies, trying to save a life so close to ending.

I hate old folks home's winding hallways. Some wait for the company of family; children, grandchildren, friends, that sometimes never come. Others widowed, finding joy in the same bland halls and paintings that are hung on the walls. Not much ever changes, a limbo.

Some have seen the labyrinth of cruise ship hallways... the mass of staterooms all tightly packed together. Kids running through them playing chase, exhausted tourists lugging their bags towards the comfort of their new floating home on the ocean.

The uniform roads of education that are elementary and high school hallways. Full of slurs and bullying, but also where great friendships can be found. Hearts will be broken, brains will be tested and fights will prosper in the halls of a school. Even empty they echo with the sounds of past students, scratched into the stall doors and scrawled on the insides of desks.

Then the invisible hallway. A path you walk as thoughts bounce around you. You briefly stop to look at them before going on, focused on the task at hand. You never see the big picture that connects all those petty projects and labours.
