Anything that triggers whenever any opponent does something is worthy of note in EDH, and Shattered Angel is no exception.  And with your opponents dropping lands almost every turn, it’s easy to see this card netting you easily 9 life with three opponents with every turn cycle, or even more if they’re ramping.  The body is a little small for the cost of what you pay to cast, but the longevity this angel can give you can be pretty impressive.  Oloro and Karlov are both fine options for a commander, and things that trigger off of life gain like Crested Sunmare, Sunscorch Reagent, and Cradle of Vitality are all fine cards to combo with this angel.  You’d be surprised how much life you can get out of this angel, and it can certainly give you the cushion you need to survive in an intense game.
