(¸.• ♛ → she turned around when she heard a familiar voice, of course she does remember her. "rapunzel." the girl exclaimed, approaching where she was until she was in front of the other one. "this is just a city, not sure how we are here though but let's think this like...some kind of adventure." she honestly wanted to think positive here, if not, she was going to be really worried about her sister.

she  nodded  slowly.  “an…  adventure.  i  like  that.”  rapunzel  agreed  before  offering  a  sheepish  smile.  “there's  so  many  people.  there's  so  much  noise."  she  nervously  cleared  her  throat.  “is  everywhere  like  this?  or  is  there  anywhere  a  little  bit  quieter,  maybe?"  there  had  to  be,  didn't  there?  a  place  to  escape  all  the  hustle  and  bustle  of  a  busy  city. 

"washington dc, in the united states, on earth, 2026." clara said, giving a more detailed answer than was strictly necessary. it was the fact that the woman asked for the year that made her pause and consider just how much information she wanted. clara cocked her head, looking at the woman closer. "professor song, is that you?" she'd only met the woman once, and it had been in some sort of dream meeting where river may or may not have been dead, clara never actually got many details or understood them, so she wasn't actually confident in her guess.

river  smirked  a  little  at  that.  “very  efficient.  thank  you.  i  appreciate  that.  2026,  huh?”  she  was  curious  what  could  be  so  special  about  this  year  that  she  was  here.  “washington.  okay.  okay…”  she  tried  to  figure  out  what  was  going  on,  not  expecting  the  other  to  say  her  name.  “the  one  and  only!"  river  beamed  with  a  nod  of  her  head.  she  finally  took  a  better  look  at  the  other  and  let  out  a  small  gasp.  “goodness,  where  are  my  manners!  sorry,  i  was  so  focused  on  getting  answers.  clara  oswald,  right?”

it was a feeling yaz understood well. it had been awhile since she’d been travelling with the doctor, so she’d gotten used to being on earth all of the time again, but she didn’t usually feel this trapped. it was exciting having something to investigate, but that feeling probably wouldn’t last for long when she couldn’t find any answers. “it’s hard, being stuck in one place like this,” she agreed. “you just found yourself here out of the blue as well, i’m guessing?”

“usually  if  i'm  stuck  somewhere,  there's  always  a  way  i  can  get  out.”  river  was  notoriously  amazing  at  breaking  out  of  prison,  after  all.  but  it  seemed  this  was  one  prison  she  couldn't  escape.  “i  did.  it  doesn't  make  sense.”  she  admitted  with  a  soft  huff.  “it's  makes  me  uneasy.  i  don't  like…  not  knowing  a  way  out.”  not  even  the  doctor  seemed  able  to  navigate  through  this.  “you  did  too?  do  you  remember  where  you  were  when  it  happened?”

“ I don’t know , Millie , maybe I should . We should both be in prison and I think you know that too . We killed someone . “ Maybe Millie had done the pushing . That was not a sight that Nina thought she’d get to ever forget . Or the sounds that he had made while he fell . She had not been made for that life . Millie was the one that had stomach for it . Nina never had . Why else would she have hired her and not done it herself ? “ A while ? It had not even been two days since I ended up here . And you know , Millie ? Karma really is a bitch . “ It had come for her . There was no need to say Nina was being eaten alive by guilt . “ Oh , you think ? Explain to me why I walked into him the other day . Same face , voice , stupid infuriating grin . He’s alive and well and Cece? My daughter? Picked his side . “

millie  moved  closer  to  nina,  reaching  out  for  her.  “nina.  stop.  we  didn't  kill  anyone.  he  fell.”  she  glanced  around  them  before  she  hushed  her  voice.  “nina,  you  need  to  stop.  you  need  to  calm  down,  please.  that  man  was  a  monster.  look  at  what  he  did  to  you.  to  me.  to  cece.  would  you  rather  he  was  still  walking  free?”  she  sighed  as  she  shook  her  head  slowly.  “i  haven't  seen  you  in  years.”  she  explained  with  a  grimace.  “i'm  sorry.  i  wish  i  could  do  something  to  make  this  right.”  she  did,  truly.  millie  shook  her  head.  “it's  not  him.  it's  not.  this  place…  it  has  a  tendancy  to  fuck  with  people.  their  memories,  their  lives.  but  it  also…  i  don't  know  how…  but  somehow?  there  are  people  that  look  alike.  that's  all  it  is.  it's  not  him.”

"ah, i'll survive. maybe they'd just had a few too many themselves to act nicely." and venti knew that he could be grating, never back down once he'd started annoying people, and had had many of years to learn how to duck and dodge when necessary. it mostly had just been sad since he did really like the drinks offered there. still, it was easy to maintain his grin with the offer the stranger gave. "really? well i'll definitely take you up on it. drinks are always better with company." venti's eyes widened a little too far to actually look seriously offended. "me? i would never." they said, leaning into the side of dramatic. "i did offer to perform for a drink, and they may have taken that to mean i wasn't going to pay."

“that's  a  pretty  nice  way  to  look  at  things.  i  can't  say  i  would  be  so  cool  about  it  if  the  tables  were  turned.”  though  that  was  probably  because  millie  was  quick  to  anger  and  reactions,  wasn't  she?  she  had  never  been  very  good  at  keeping  her  cool.  it  was  something  she  was  working  on.  “yeah?  you  are  right  there.  definitely  better  with  company.”  millie  mused  with  a  smile.  a  soft  chuckle  left  her.  “suuuure.  you  seem  like  the  innocent  type.”  she  teased.  “perform?  now  you've  got  me  intrigued.  what  were  you  offering  to  perform  in  exchange  for  a  drink?”

" Alright , thanks . I'm sorry . I don't know what came over me there . It's like I wasn't myself . " Thya shivered , wrapping her arms around her knees and bringing them to her chest . That happened , at times . She didn't feel like herself . It was like she was watching her own actions through a mirror . One that wasn't very kind ( or something that she understood at all ) . " That ever happen to you ? "

ellie  draped  her  coat  over  the  other  before  taking  a  seat  beside  her.  “you  don't  need  to  apologise.  it's  okay.”  she  assured.  the  words  related  to  her  more  than  she  wanted  to  admit.  she  cleared  her  throat  softly.  “yeah.  yeah,  it  happens  to  me.  quite  a  few  times,  actually.”  she  mused  with  a  sad  smile.  “i'm  sorry  that  you  know  what  that  feels  like.  i  wouldn't  wish  that  on  someone.”

Jack sat at the table on the cafe patio, enjoying his coffee, when he was suddenly approached by someone. A familiar face. A face he hadn't seen for many years, and one he never expected to see again. A soft gasp escaped his lips, and he couldn't do anything but stare at the other man. How was it possible? Of all the people he saw walking by, Ianto Jones was the last person he expected to see approach him. His heart ached at the sight of his former lovers face, a rush of emotions and memories flooded his mind. "Is it really you?" He asked, cautiously. He was almost afraid he was hallucinating.

ianto  hadn't  seen  any  of  his  former  team  since  arriving  here.  despite  the  fact  he  was  incredibly  pissed  at  them…  he  did  miss  them.  he  wasn't  used  to  being  alone.  but  seeing  jack?  it  brought  a  lot  bubbling  to  the  surface.  a  lot  of  anger.  a  lot  of  hurt.  he  grit  his  teeth  at  the  sight  of  him.  “jack.”  he  simply  nodded  his  head  in  greeting.  the  last  time  he  had  seen  his  boss?  he  had  lost  lisa.  ianto  nodded  his  head.  “yes,  it's  me.”  he  was  relieved  to  see  him  but  he  couldn't  see  past  that  hurt  right  now.  “didn't  think  you  were  here.  is  it  just  you?  or  are  the  rest  of  the  team  here  too?”  he  crossed  his  arms  over  his  chest  as  he  looked  at  the  other. 

“ It was not anything important . Just musings . “ Things that had been in her head . Clary could not say that she had made any progress , if she were to be honest with herself . If anything , she thought she was walking backwards . Faces . Names . Things of the sort . “ Something like that . At times . What about you ? “

“i  wouldn't  say  they  are  nothing.  from  what  i  saw?  you  are  talented.”  ianto  complimented  with  a  smile.  “i'm  sorry  to  hear  that.  can  i  ask…  what  sort  of  dreams  they  are?”  could  this  possibly  be  related  to  everything  that  was  happening  around  here?  “i  sometimes  have  nightmares,  yes.  some  things  that  happened  to  me  back  home  ,  that's  all.”  he  figured  he  should  share  if  he  was  questioning  the  other  about  her  dreams,  right?

oh, he didn't know the half of it...but should she admit that it was throughout all of time and space, or might he think she'd completely lost the plot? yasmin often wondered how so many people were so blind to aliens and the like, when they'd so often come to earth. still, some people were determined to ignore what was right in front of them if it allowed them to keep living a peaceful life. "here and there," yaz offered, with a shrug. "if we're stuck here, though, i'm just glad there's something i can look into. people don't usually just...appear somewhere new."

he  couldn't  help  but  wonder  whether  the  other  would  understand  if  he  were  to  give  more  information.  if  he  were  to  explain  that  he  was  looking  out  for  aliens.  “here  and  there?  sounds  interesting.”  her  vagueness  only  made  him  think  that  perhaps  he  could  be  honest  and  open.  ianto  studied  her  features  for  a  moment.  “can  i…  ask  a  bit  of  a  weird  question?”  he  mused  with  a  raise  of  his  brow.  “if  i  were…  to  ask  if  you  believed  in  aliens  and  the  like…  what  would  you  say?”
