In the murky waters of the Early Carboniferous, a Thrinacodus hunts a Falcatus in what is now the Bear Gulch Limestone in Montana. Despite what it may appear to be at first glance, both creatures belong to the order Chondrichthyes, which demonstrates the great diversity of body types and forms this group possessed in the past.
This is a drawing I did a while back; I hope you like it while I finish up a new illustration. Just a quick note: Thrinacodus’s teeth are tricuspid in shape, but due to artistic limitations (laziness XD), I drew them as regular fangs. I hope you enjoy the drawing despite that detail ❤️.
