Gone

           Kyungsoo could hear an indistinct conversation from afar and it faded the farther he kept walking away from the scene. It looked as though the male was attacking the other, they seemed to be mixed up in some disagreement. Deep down, the immortal knew that he’d without a doubt try to stop whatever that was going on if he was still human and it was that little bit of humanity left in him that abruptly lit up in the back of his mind, beckoning him to stop and turn back around. 

         It had been awhile since he’s had any blood, since he’s had any energy to move about properly. His throat was so dry, it was painful to bare the temptations for so long that the vampire couldn’t take it anymore. Kyungsoo was dragging himself around to find the most secluded place he could feed, but at this point it was almost as if he could feed upon anyone he laid his eyes upon, but that would’ve only caused him trouble.

But even if he did the latter, Raio was certain the situation would not change…

“I–” He cleared his throat slightly, before he continued. “I would live the way I was, I believe – Because I don’t want to see the people I care for to be sad. But, even if I did live the way I am until I die, wouldn’t it bring the same result?”

Not that it truly mattered of what this question actually consisted of and what it held within it’s words, the thought of death never seemed to cross his mind not even once because the vampire had already been dead inside and out, at least that is what he believed.

Knowing any response that would have come from his mouth would be garbled by aches and incapability, Xavier offered a groan. No tricks were up his sleeves and no dirty fighting techniques would be waiting for his opponent if he came nearer. Honestly, Xavier was damn near physically incapable of continuing this fairly one-sided fight of there’s; if he could speak clearly, he’d ask for a forfeit in his favor and proceed to reposition his jaw. Being able to see another day was an obvious benefit as well.

The Librarian pressed his head against the barricade serving as his cover, praying the almost superhuman cooing at him wouldn’t locate him immediately. Now came the ample pain threshold: reduction of a dislocated jaw was something that could and should be associated with stinging discomfort. Replacing anything in or on the body removed from its intended position also required skill–the pain was worth it if the problem was corrected after all. Unfortunately, this meant he needed the predator in this situation to hold off for just long enough to allow the archivist to concentrate.

A reprieve wasn’t impossible though.

                                         “Xavier”---

            A wild sinister grin etched his lips, fingers trembling from the excitement. After all it was the game that he enjoyed the most, the fact that he had to fight for survival. But this wasn’t necessarily his intentions from the beginning. In the other’s mind it must have been nothing more than a playful fight between two acquaintances, however the vampire knew that a simple blow could cause him to go out of control with power..And that’s exactly what happened. 

                                    “Xavier..” 

               Kyungsoo called out again, eyes doubling their size as he got a good sight of the other. He could tell that he was most utterly in pain from the dislocation of his jaw. In the back of his mind the immortal knew how easily he could finish him off, how delighted he’d be to bring home a whole corpse full of blood. --The blood--  He thought, and suddenly the excitement grew even larger for him, how fantastic of an idea it’d be to take home a full body just as he used before he left Seoul. He grew tired of the blood bags. It didn’t compare to the blood that came straight from the vein .

           It had only been a couple of hours since Kyungsoo had returned to Seoul, the sun had already gone down, less and less people covered the streets except for the ones still roaming around the shops. It was just as he remembered, the people around him still managed to keep to their own business and people knew not to bother him.

         Everything was just the way he liked it. Quiet, eerie, and dark. The perfect time to feed. It was not only that he loved the crimson, unforgettable liquid that would flow among the humans. But he also loved the hunt. The game, the rush. It made him feel more alive, ironic as that sounds since he has no beating heart but part of his humanity still remains. His dark, round hues explored the outskirts as he searched for his new pray. However he was rudely interrupted by none other than the species he’d been looking all night for, a mortal. a girl who managed to push Kyungsoo out of the way from an ongoing car. “Get out of the way!” She shouted as she shoved him and herself aside. 

❝I - How. Where did you even -❞ Her words stuttered, colliding over one another with nervousness obvious in the way she’s caught up in basking into this situation. Eyes still remained over his facial features, guilt trailed in her emotions because he was her friend. He was always there for her but disappearing without a word was her mistake but a choice she needed to make. Not that she was considered a good person years ago. One moment she’s heading out in the middle of the night and then she’s drowning in isolation, sneaking out in the afternoon before she was caught in trouble.

How long has she even seen this particular male? He still looks the same, nothing changed except for the relationship between them. ❝No.❞ Actually, Hana wasn’t too sure if there was bound to disappear the second time. Not that she needed to fear for her life at least for now. Currently, she feels a lot safer. More secure about where she’s heading on in the future because she’s exhausted with blaming her addictions, there’s no use for it.

❝I won’t leave.❞ Not right now

                    The vampire hadn’t seen in her so long, he assumed she would’ve been in the same place he had left her when he fled from his home town to be alone and utterly secluded. The female was definitely surprised to see him, however not an inch of amazement, not even a slight hint of emotion etched across his features. His dark hues traveled across her visage, it had almost been too long,-- too long-- that he had forgotten the vibe they’d given off to one another. An unusual, crooked smile graced his lips ever so suddenly as if he realized right then and there who he came face to face with. 

        He didn’t dare to respond to her question or how she stumbled with her words, showing how obvious and unexpected it had been to see him after so long. His brow arched, fingers grazing along the side of her forearm before pulling her in to his embrace, a sigh of comfort left his lips.
