taylor literally raised us so well that we figured it out in like 5 mins and i’m very proud of that and i hope she is too 

June 4, 2020: MESSAGE TO TAYLOR- It hurts me to much to say this but we are beyond disappointed with your lack of involvement towards the black lives matter movement. Where is the energy you had during miss americana? Or last June when you got thousands to sign the equality act? Posting a black square with 13 hearts is simply not enough. You have a gigantic platform. There is more to be done. Innocent people are being murdered in the streets. You can’t just sit back and watch.

there’s a difference between acting like celebrities should be the voice of a political movement/using events like these to prove how much Better our faves are in comparison to others, and saying “hey, thirty year old woman who has a large platform and millions of dollars, remember when you said you were going to use your voice to help others and to end up on the right side of history? why do you think the bare minimum is enough?”

I just feel like a dumbass like every time Taylor spoke up about things I always got excited about the fact that this probably meant she’d do more, and I did this with that tweet about Trump and then it took days for her to even say anything more than that tweet. “We will vote you out in November.” How, Taylor? What’s your plan? What action are YOU going to take to make these things happen. I don’t want her to go online saying this shit and not actually doing her part here because I’m done giving her pats in the back and a pass because I’m fan. I still love her but I’ve reached the peak of my frustration here. I just feel let down. She blew up on the President and didn’t follow that up with anything. She put out a documentary centered around finding her voice and finally being free to say what she wants to, specifically about advocating for people to vote in her home state and even talking about how the President then had something to say about her poltical Instagram post last year. When is she gonna live up to this person that she made herself out to be in that goddamn documentary because it’s been 5 months since that documentary and we’re 5 months away from an incredibly important election and all we’ve gotten is a tweet and a swipe up on Instagram.

im tired of this shit so, jordan i apologize for reblogging and adding on to your post. but @purplealchemist you have added this to my post and mulitple of my mutuals post. i am tired of you speaking over the voices of people of color, specifically black voices. so please from the bottom lf my heart....shut the fuck up and dont tell us how to feel, you have no right.

thinking about how halsey is literally using her privilege that shes white passing and literally using her twitter to tweet info and shes out side in the protests helping everybody. thinking about how ariana uses her platform and went out to protest as well. thinking about how selena continously posts on her instagram and story. thinking about how gigi hadid keeps posting on twitter and instagram and is even helping to promote small black businesses. taylors peers and friends are doing so so much...and they never pledged to be “miss americana”. taylor has no excuse tbh, im sorry, i love her, but this is important
