But when we are looking for something to start, certain shows keep getting bumped because we know they will destroy us. Fun selection. Haven't seen some of these, but definitely enjoyed a few from this list.
For us it came down to 3. We liked Cat for Cash (who wouldn't enjoy Khao being an adorable cat?!) and loved how cute Cosmetic Playlover season 2 was, but we had to vote for Countdown to Yes. We are huge suckers for painful friends to lovers and this one was great! It's a fun binge.

So for this I'm going with chinese bls. I watch way too many bls while they're airing but something's gotta give and usually it's China or toxic. And they tend to overlap lol. This was an easy pick for us. We loved To My Shore way too much, even if it ripped us to pieces multiple times! Like You Shu Lang, by the time we reached the bonus episode, we forgave it for everything!!! ๐คฃ
That being said, Hua Yong is an entertaining psycho and we love them! So ABO Desire is a really fun watch even if the writing left us wanting more.
Journey With You was an absolute popcorn watch for us. We had fun and ate it up, but there is so much better out there that we can't recommend spending valuable hours on it over something else.
Still haven't had the chance to watch Lost To You, but it's on the epically long watch list.

I kind of burnt myself on the romance and I didn't realize that my aroace brain had a cap on how much romance I can mentally tolerate. So.... I have been lost in the cdrama world. Oh! Watch Life In Smokey Blue! We haven't finished this one, but we are close. It's been a beautiful, very real, quiet slice of life. The romance is subdued and the story feels more focused on their experiences and growth as humans. The relationship is just part of that journey. We have been enjoying it so much and are looking forward to seeing how it ends.

We recommend every one of these for different reasons. Each gives you a great story and different experience. Picking.one.was.HARD!!!
After a quick debate, we ultimately chose The Eighth Sense. It's been a rewatch for both of us and will be again. Warning, this is not a before bed watch... especially end of episode 6. Kat may have stayed up to binge the rest of the series for reasons. So plan for a break and consider watching the rest as a binge... unless you have better self control than us. ๐คฃ
Much to Kat's dismay, I still haven't watched Triage, but it's on my watch list! We loved watching homophobic grandpa go through it in Century of Love. It was a soapy, fun watch that was really sweet. Every You, Every Me was.... great... except when it wasn't. Loved some of it so so much. And some of it, we can't think about. And Secret Relationships was pure crack. Once we started that one, we couldn't stop. It's one we really want to find time to rewatch.
So many good choices. Excited to see which one wins!

Kat screams: THE UNTAMED!
Kat is obsessed with everything MDZS. Much to Kat's dismay, I (Dori) also dropped The Untamed... 17 episodes in... just because I got distracted by other series. But since we just watched the Mo Dao Zu Shi animated series, I am going to make a second attempt at the 50 EPISODE watch! I was enjoying it and am sure I will love it if I can manage to finish.
We also loved My Romance Scammer and are currently enjoying Life In Smokey Blue, which we hope to finish soon. Just because of episode count/length, Life In Smokey Blue is the easier pick. But I agree with Kat and think you should watch The Untamed just so I have a watch partner ๐

Another super fun and creative tag game! Yay! Our watch list is soooo long. If only we didn't have to adult and could make money sitting on our couch and watching dramas! We're going to pick some of the older series that have made it to our watch list from before we started watching Asian QL. We hope to get to these at some point, but they keep getting bumped for new stuff. It's a blessing and a curse that there is so much coming out right now!
She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat - Japan 2022 @thisonelikesaliens recently listed this as one if the queer series that gives them hope. But it is no secret how much @my-rose-tinted-glasses loves this series and it was their posts that originally peaked our curiosity. Everything about this series sounds amazing and precious and we are sure we will love it.
My Love Mix-Up! - Japan 2021 This one has been on our watch list for a while. But @my-rose-tinted-glasses, @abstractelysium, @watchthisqqq and even Dori's little have all made us wonder why we haven't seen this yet. The premise sounds cute and clearly it is done well with so many rave reviews from our tumblr peeps.
Fragrance of the First Flower - Taiwan 2021 Can't remember who was talking about this recently, but who ever they were, they sold it because it got added to our watch list. A second chance story about a woman that is finally ready to be honest about who she is and whom she loves? Already seated.
Fish Upon A Sky - Thailand 2021 This is strictly on the list because of Pond and Phuwin. We loved Me And Thee so much, we thought it might be fun to see them in another series. Not sure if we will ever actually get around to it though.

Loosely based on some recent blog discussions with some cool people! Some of us have been here forever, and have huge watchlists going back years; some of us may just be getting into the fandom, and might even feel overwhelmed. The goal is to level the playing field a little and get your tumblr friends invested in you catching up on series you missed but are excited about, and providing their own recs, with no pressure intended to overwhelm anyone. We second several of these. Light On Me is a cute watch. And Knock Out is absolutely wild and fun! Kat also enjoyed Love Tractor and it's on Dori's solo watch list. Clairebell is on our watch list for the same reason. Let us know what you think if you ever get around to watching any of these!

To help his father, the vice president of a perfume company seeks out a rare fragrance found only among an elusive flower tribe. When Scent discovers the source is a young man, he will do what ever it takes to convince Gaysorn to return with him so he can extract his unique scent.
This gives a new meaning to "I want you for your body". The entire concept of this series is ridiculous, but sometimes you just want some fun junk food... and boy sniffing. Our expectations were low going in, but we were surprised when they actually delivered a very simple, yet solid story that stuck to the plot without any messy filler. Not sure a lot of people enjoyed this series, but it was exactly the popcorn watch we needed in our week. Plus it was fun to see the lying liar have those lies come back to haunt him. And the terrible CG butterflies were always good for a laugh!
Ending: Happy
Tears: They actually managed to give us some feels.

โTโ - Trash. Kat won't even watch the pilot. She's still so salty that even the pilot is dead to her. Moral of the story... don't piss off Kat! Editing to add some context because we realized everyone and their brother does not know about Kat's DMD Friendship crash out. So Pung is Kat's baby and some people made him cry and Kat WILL NEVER forgive them!
