My favorite horror movie in a long time, this 2 hour long roller-coaster revives psychological horror in a chilling way. Join a mother as she goes through a bone chilling, intense journey into her family’s dark past. The film can be found on DVD for rental or purchase. (WARNING: Do not watch if easily disturbed by self-harm)
A rare occasion in which a sequel far-surpasses the original. While not horrifyingly scary, this film had me on the edge of my seat! Watch as a man and his friends stumble upon they shouldn’t have on a strange laptop. Currently available for rent or purchase on DVD.
Again, not horrifyingly scary but, a great movie for horror lovers! After a man’s sister is kidnapped and held on an island by a cult, he must sneak onto the island and rescue her, but things are far more sinister on the island than it seems. Available for streaming on Netflix!
In my opinion these films brought in a new generation of horror, a thrill ride from start to finish. Following the strange files from famed paranormal investigators the Warrens, see how they handle the paranormal. If you had to choose between Conjuring 1 and 2 though, I’d recommend 1. A mother grieving after the loss of her husband experiences disturbing events after finding a strange children’s book. This is still one of my favorite films and still gives me the creeps at some parts. The Babadook is available for streaming on Netflix!

This film is a suspenseful ride from start to finish! Three masked killers ruin the evening for a couple in a remote cabin. There is a sequel, but i suggest you skip it.
