Well well O___O As much as i would love to, i sadly dont >.> But, with my amaaazing drawing skills, the best i could do would be... to... sell private fanfics? I dont even think that's a thing? For 2€ i'll send it via email and for 10 you'll have the manuscript version sent to your house XDNo for real, im really terrible at drawing and i dont feel like pasting a bleach drawing/logo on a tshirt/cup, so i guess i can only write... I'll get my ass to work on drawing one day tho. The day i'll be good enough, the amount of HitsuMatsu fanart on the whole Internet will DOUBLE Q_Q

Oho, a question! OuO Do you remember Kensei being like “Imma beat your ass till you reach bankai” on Shuhei? I would have loved to see that coming from Tosh to Rangiku xD Although he wouldn’t, especially since he experienced first-hand stolen Bankai, maybe that’s why he didn’t train Rangiku to it. I think she would have to both train alone (Zanpakuto control, swordsmanship skills, kido and fighting skills in general) and against others to sharpen that, like training with the cap’n (i’d kill for a fanart of that, like an amused Tosh calmly freezing  the bakudo Rangiku just casted) and of course, against her zanpakuto in her inner world. Cuz as far as i know you have to get your Zanpakuto to submission=make him recognize you as worthy of being its master in order to attain Bankai. She could also attain it in the midst of a tense fight, for example with a friend being beaten, it could give her enough determination to get up, kick her zanpakuto’s butt and then kick the enemy’s butt as well x).  This seems almost more probable since she said already her zanpakuto wasn’t easy to deal with, so we can assume Haineko wouldn’t just teach her Bankai out of training…

Tbh i have no idea what could her Bankai be, unless it’s like Senbonzakura: that means “just” more ash, and/or more uses maybe: Blinding enemies, hiding in it, etc. Edit, people apparently are curious so i'll let some of MY ideas in, which do NOT reflect any kind of certainty at all :3 First, Ash around her could act as Whiskers (Haineko=Ash cat iirc) so it could do many things whiskers actually do: analyze the slightiest change in the air, measure distances, etc. Also, she could use Ash to directly infiltrate an enemy's lung if she can't yet. She could grow some sort of claws or paws made of Ash, a bit like Renji's bankai hand, see? So many possibilities... let's make a last one! She could form a "cage" of ash, completely surrounding her and the enemy, unescapable unless you wanna cut yourself...and in which only HER could see thanks to some cat-like night vision awakened by her bankai.)

As for Rangiku herself, she’s already a lieutenant, which is not to take slightly, (even if lieutenants are incomparable to captains), they do have certains skills. Like, not all shinigamis can do that easily

Add a Bankai to that and IMO she would be in Hisagi’s league easily ^^

“Captain!!! Emergency!!”

Hearing this, 10th squad captain Toshiro Hitsugaya moved to his subordinate’s room in a flash, alert and ready to act quickly, a hand on his zanpakuto. Rangiku Matsumoto turned around to look at him.

“Which one should i weaaaar?” she asked, pointing out her bed.

"I’ll kill you.”

“Won’t you help me to choose one of those? As my captain, you should support and guide me through hard times!” shouted Rangiku

“Well I don’t care, so long as you hurry up.” answered Toshiro, sitting at her desk, while having a sorrowful look at the small paperwork pile on it. The only thing that changed about it, compared to when he gave it to her a few days ago, was that the upper paper now had a nice big tea stain on it.

“Okay then...i’ll choose the white one!” Rangiku said, with a big smile.

“No.”

“Ehh?!! Why not?! You said you didn’t care!” she replied, an outraged look on her face.

“Because you’re not the one about to marry Abarai, are you?!” Toshiro desperately said back. “Come on...” While saying this, he got up and went to the bed, where about half a dozen dresses were lying. He looked at it for a bit and eventually told her: “I like the purple one.”

“This one?”

“No, the purple one. How is this purple?”

“It IS purple though...”

“HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU CALL THIS HOT PINK ‘PURPLE’??” Toshiro burst out.

“Well, i admit it’s a bit flashy but...”

“The dark purple one, right there. We’re rather out of time, you know...”

“Uhh...Ok, but please turn around then!” Rangiku said, preparing herself.

“Yup, I’ll be waiting you outside.” stated Toshiro, about to leave the room.

“No! You...gotta wait...a bit!” Rangiku told him, wearing the dress.

“Eh? Why would you want me to turn around but not leav...”

“I need you to zip up this!” she stated, showing her back.

“Uwah?” made a speechless Toshiro, turning back to look what Rangiku was showing. And it was what he feared, a zipper on the back of her dress.

“You chose the purple one, you gotta take on your responsabilities now!” she said, amused.

“No way.”

“Come on, captain! We’re going to be late because of y...” Rangiku didn’t finish her sentence though, as she could almost read “BANKAI.” into her captain’s eyes. “...because of me, so could you please help me to catch up with the time i lost already?”

Toshiro felt helpless once again, helplessness being an ordinary feeling when living together with Rangiku every day, he thought. He then took a few steps forward, up to his lieutenant’s back, then started to zip up the dress quite slowly, utterly cautious not to pinch his lieutenant’s back or to stuck in some hair. Good thing they couldn’t see each other, he thought, since he’d definitely better not have Rangiku see his blushing face. It required tremendous efforts not to just gaze at Rangiku’s soft skin, so he focused as much as possible on the zipper itself.

“What’s the matter captain, why so slow? You really are going to make us la...”

“I swear, say it, just try to say it and i’ll instantly freeze any alcohol you’ll try to swallow during the party.”

It was Rangiku’s turn to be happy about her captain not seeing her face, since she had a horrified look on it, which was quite uncute. She could totally see him making fun of it for the next months or so.

“You wouldn’t dare...right...?”

“We’re done.” simply said Toshiro. “Are you ready yet?”

“Yup!” answered Rangiku. “Shall we go?”

At that, Toshiro nodded. Then Rangiku took his arm.

“What on earth are you doing?” he asked, skeptical.

“Come on, i’m not going to a wedding unaccompanied, am I?” Rangiku replied. “I hope you’ve done everything you wanted to do with this arm, because I’m not letting it go for a while.” she added, a teasing smile on her mouth.

“Alright, let’s go.” simply agreed Toshiro, without any other contestation.

And then, they went on their way.

“I’ll see.”

This fanfic has been inspired by one of my favourite fanarts of all time of this ship, which i’ll let you appreciate just below ^^ (it might interest you, @fuckyeahhitsumatsu if you didn’t see this one yet, but i guess that you’ve seen em all just like me XD)

If you want the rest of their adventures on Rukia’s wedding, tell me!! It was pretty short coz i wasn’t sure you guys would like it so i prefered to separate the big thing in several parts :D

    It was one of those calm, peaceful nights. Even though it would be more approriate to call it “early morning”, since the whole Soul Society would be awake in a few minutes, everyone going back to their daily activities. Inside the 10th squad barracks, you could only hear a clock ticking, and the distant noise of someone writing on paper.      Those last days had been tiring for everyone, with the reconstruction of the Soul Society on-going, the overwhelmed 4th squad, and the huge amount of paperwork caused by all those circumstances. That’s one of the reasons explaining why Rangiku Matsumoto was deeply asleep, randomly lying in her bed, a Saké bottle hidden somewhere under her blanket. Then suddenly, the writing noise stopped, and someone entered into Rangiku’s bedroom.

“Matsumoto.” … “Matsumoto.” repeated an irritated voice. ….. “Matsumotooooo!” shouted 10th squad captain, Toshiro Hitsugaya, as quietly as possible.

“Eh…eh? what’s up, cap’n…” mumbled Rangiku’s sleepy voice.

Toshiro was slightly sweating, and seemed in quite a hurry.

“It’s today! Hurry up!” he nervously answered. “Oh? But it’s only been a month since last time…” “Well, yeah, that’s the idea of the whole thing.” “You’re right…” said Rangiku as she was half waking-up. “Prepare a day worth of paperwork to bring with you” continued Toshiro, as he was gathering ink, pen and brush. “Oh, I did that before going to sleep…look…” proudly answered a wrapped-into-her-blanket Rangiku.

Toshiro looked at what was in his lieutenant’s hand. “…Matsumoto.” “Yes?” “Didn’t i just tell you to bring a day worth of paperwork?” “Yes?” “…then can I know why you’re holding a SINGLE piece of paper?” asked Toshiro, trying to keep his composure.  Well, “ replied Rangiku “No, wait, don’t mind answering. I’ll just bring your share of paper. Be sure to be down there in five minutes, we don’t have much time.” simply said Toshiro as he was leaving the room. “Aww…captaiiin…” started complaining Rangiku. “No Aw. No captaiiin. Five minutes.” curtly replied Toshiro. “Ok…lemme sleep just one more minute then…” said Rangiku as she was closing her eyes.

    When she opened her eyes again, she was lying on a sofa, in a dark room. Some unusual noises and ambiant hustling did wake her up. She looked around and saw her captain, working on a desk, with a huge pile of paper next to him.

“Finally awake?” He asked, without taking his eyes off his pen. “Myeah…” answered Rangiku. “Perfect, come and start working too then.”

Rangiku took a look at the horrifyingly high pile of paper waiting for her.

“…Wouldn’t you prefer me to attain Bankai? I mean, i got some nice talk with Haineko lately and i think..” tried Rangiku “We’ll train later if you want” interrupted Toshiro, who had no intent of bargaining. “For now, it’s paperwork.”

Rangiku unwillingly left the sofa to take the seat in front of her captain. She took a paper and put it on the desk, in front of her. She looked at her captain and asked: “Where are we, this year?” “A room i made under my actual desk in the barracks.” answered Toshiro, with his eyes still staring at his paper. “Er…do you think it’s safe enough? I mean , they end up finding the hideout everytime anyway…” stated Rangiku. “I had the Kuchiki siblings to help me build up several kidos hiding and protecting us from intrusion. We focused on the protecting part though, since they’ll indeed find it anyway.” answered Toshiro. “Would you mind, i don’t know, maybe taking a pen and helping me?” he added. “Mmmmh…yeah…” said Rangiku while picking up a pen. “You didn’t have to go to such lengths though…”

Toshiro looked Matsumoto at last. He seemed a bit irritated again. “Well, i wouldn’t have to if you weren’t the cause of this to happen”, he said. “Me?” asked Matsumoto, with surprised eyes “As far as i know, i’m not the one giving chocolates to EVERY guy in the Soul Society on Valentine’s day only to receive as many gifts as possible on White day. If you’d keep this to friends and family, we wouldn’t have to be here during the whole day, waiting for thousands and thousands of gifts to be delivered into our barracks and hiding from the hundreds of guys trying to find you and declare their love for you!” he angrily replied. Rangiku seemed amused, and it managed to piss him off even more. He did a sort of “Tch” then got back to what he was writing.

    Matsumoto looked at the word she just lazily wrote. It had an amazingly boring-effect on her. Then she laid her eyes on her captain’s paper pile and wondered once again how he was able to do such a thing. She looked at Toshiro’s pen regularly moving and his face remaining unruffled. A malicious spark suddenly appeared in her eyes. “Did you carry me?” she asked “…eh?” made her captain, whose face seemed to blush, probably because of the weak light from the candle on the desk. “I mean, i was in this sofa when i woke up but i didn’t go on it myself, so did you carry me?” she asked again, slyly smiling “Well, yes.” Toshiro answered, undisturbed. Rangiku, looked at him, imagining the scene.  “Teehee… you’re cute ♥”  Hearing this, Toshiro quickly glanced at his lieutenant before getting back at work. “And you’re heavy” he replied. He then superbly dodged a pen thrown at high speed to his face while a “That’s not something you can say to a woman!!” resonated throughout the room.  “Sorry, sorry” said Toshiro to his lieutenant, with a little grin on his face. “I wasn’t serious.”

    Rangiku grumpily looked at him. Although her captain’s paper pile kept on growing, hers didn’t. Well, it didn’t even exist to begin with, since she didn’t complete the first one. And on top of that, she started to be hungry. “When can we eat?” she asked “I didn’t have time to prepare lunch.” calmly answered Toshiro “WHAT?! HOW ARE WE GOING T…” Rangiku started, feeling her hunger growing even faster than her superior’s paperwork pile. “However”, continued Toshiro, as if she didn’t say a thing, “i had to prepare cookies for some occasion, and brought them here. Feel free to have them.”,he explained, picking a cute box full of cookies up from under the desk and putting it down near his lieutenant. Rangiku found it cute, how Toshiro wouldn’t give his White day present directly to her, every year. There would always be some special circumstances for it, which would make it look like it wasn’t his choice or that it wasn’t a gift. Although she knew very well that it was, and she even suspected him to be aware that she knew, while still making excuses for it because he’d be too embarassed to present something to her.

“What kind of occasion?”,  she teased him. No answer. “…well, i’ll have them with pleasure” she added, a smile on her face.

And they both love it

A slight knocking sound came from outside Toshirō Hitsugaya’s bedroom. As there were no answer, the girl waiting outside warned: “Goo…good evening…I…I’m coming in..” The door suddenly opened from the inside with a loud “Hello theeere!” coming from Matsumoto Rangiku. “-Gyah!! ” screamed Isane. “Are you crazy?! I almost dropped Momo’s flowers! -Oooh, it’s you, Isane! Are you here for my captain?” asked Rangiku. “Y-yes, I came to check how he was doing, and to give him this…” Isane answered, showing the little flower bouquet in her hands. “-I see! Come in, come in!” enthusiastically told Rangiku. Both of them took a few steps until they reached the captain’s bed. “-Did he even wake up since he’s been brought here?” asked Isane. “-…no…although…why is that so? He didn’t even seem badly hurt back then, was he?” asked Rangiku worriedly. “-You’re right…he wasn’t severely wounded when captain Kuchiki brought him to us, but he simply stated that ‘He pushed his body to the brink because of his Bankai’, if i remember correctly…” stated Isane. “-What? Without any further explanation? Tch…what did they even… -Oh! Seems like i’m needed in the 11th squad’s barracks! There’s nothing much we can do for captain Hitsugaya anyway… -Wait! Do you know when he will wake up? -If he wakes up, you mean?..” replied Isane, uneasy. “It could be in an hour, or 3 days, or… well, we can’t know… -Wait…what? But…but HOW WILL HE DO MY PAPERWORK MEANWHILE?! -Sorry Rangiku, i really got to go! Take care!” apologized Isane as she was leaving the room. Rangiku was alone with her sleeping captain again. She took Momo’s bouquet and put it next to her own. Then, she went to Toshirō’s bed, sat next to him and looked at his face. It seemed rather calm and painless, which still couldn’t get a smile out of her. Damn it, it is her role to watch his back, not the other way around…what was he thinking when he prevented her from following him, after being healed by captain Kurotsuchi? “-Look, captain, Momo brought some flowers…” she said to a reactionless Toshirō. After a quick look at the bouquet, she moved her head near Toshirō’s ear and whispered “…but honestly, mine looks much better.” She looked at the clock, almost imperceptibly ticking. “It’s late, captain…mind if I stay to sleep with you tonight?” she said, winking. No reaction. Her sorrowful eyes looked down on her captain’s face again. Why wouldn’t he just yell at her, as usual? “Well, if you don’t like me being under the same blanket as you, blame yourself for not being able to get a hold of your icy reiatsu while sleeping!”, told Rangiku while jumping under it. She put the blanket up to her chest and lied down on her back, next to Toshirō. She stayed there a while, listening to the quiet ticking. Then, she turned on her side, and looked at her captain for a moment. “Say, captain…you won’t leave me, right?” Still no reaction. “Right? I’ll do my paperwork, I swear…” The thought of not hearing her captain yelling at her because of her laziness anymore was too much to handle. An overwhelming feeling of fear and sadness crossed her entire body. A tear dropped, then two. “Please…” she sobbed, putting her forehead against Toshirō’s cheeks, an arm under his neck, and the other hand on his chest, near their heads. She slowly moved her head a few centimeters ahead to give Toshiro a tiny kiss, somewhere unclear between his cheek and the corner of his lips. Imagining Toshiro’s reaction if he were awake managed to make her grin a bit. She could feel her captain’s weak breath, his calm reiatsu flowing. It was comfortable. A lot. So much, that she could stay like this forever. And then, as the moon was rising and the clock was ticking, she closed her eyes and, with her captain’s sweet smell and fresh skin by her side, let herself go through bright, hopeful silver dreams. Tick, tick, tick Tick, tick… The 10th squad’s captain carefully half-opened an eye. He could feel his vice-captain’s body on his chest and under his neck, and smell her perfume. He could also see her golden hair near him. Actually, that was pretty much all he could see. He smiled and, despite his temporary frailty, thanks to what was a huge effort for him at the moment, he managed to bring the blanket up to his and Rangiku’s shoulders. He then weakly reached to the thin hand lying on his chest, under the blanket, to take it with his own. It was comfortable. A lot. So much, that he could stay like this forever. And then, cradled by his vice-captain’s exotic perfume and her soft skin, he closed his eye again to let himself go through golden, soft and caressing dreams.
