She’s gone
She went in yesterday evening, my ex came with us and we both snuggled her the whole time. He stroked her head and I held her paw, the vet was extremely compassionate and spoke softly to her. She was so small it took only seconds to pass, and the vet continued to talk to her afterwards. We wrapped her in a beautiful sheet, and buried her beside NASA. She was a perfect cat. Thank you all for enjoying her short life with me.

Hey guys, I apologize for not keeping y’all more in the loop but this has all been insanely hard. Sigil has been on meds for a week and is declining. I’m probably gonna bring her in today to be put down.

Yeah so things are still not great.
We’re stuck with making her comfortable and hoping by some miracle the 2 antibiotics and the steroids she’s on fix her, but the vet was not at all optimistic.

Hey guys, I’ve been putting off posting this but Sigil went to the vet yesterday for a potential UTI. She wet herself on the way there, so they unfortunately couldn’t get a sample for a test. They did do some bloodwork however, that came back with devastating results. Sigil is extremely anemic, and likely has slowly grown so over time considering no change in her behavior. They’re suspecting cancer, Lymphoma, and I’m trying like hell to find a vet that can get us in for an ultrasound ASAP but everyone is booked solid. I really don’t know what her future holds, and I’m very scared for my little kitty. She’s currently on antibiotics and steroids, and is still her happy self. Hug your kitties close. I’ll probably be opening digital commissions soon to help with the bills.

The average cat in Australia is about 4.5kg in size, but can easily vary anywhere from 3kg to 6kg in good condition.
A Singapura is likely to be only just over 2kg in size.
Meanwhile a Maine Coon could easily reach 8kg. without being overfed.
There’s only so small we can go and still feel like this animal is a cat. Plus dogs have up to three different dwarf/miniature genes at play resulting in the variety of anatomy as they get smaller, and cats do not.
While I can’t necessarily say they’ll all be as small as Sigil bc at 2.8 lbs she’s definitely way below standard, but devons are one of the smaller breeds! Typically 5-8 lbs.
