at first i thought you meant the first like og dragon quest and i got confused............but i think you mean the first chapter in dq ensemble which makes more sense. lol

both kinda of. the system is like......... if shi is besties with someone, any other party member that shi's bestie has a high relationship with gets an added chance of being protected and by how much. even if shi doesn't have a direct high relationship with the person. it still add up. u wu/

i should mention~ that increasing fp meters between party members does raise the chance of shi guarding them from deaths.

it's been considered the hardest bossfight for some reason........i tried tweaking it but apprently people still think it's hard. maybe bc it's harder to grind to overcome it and its v hinged on people using the pairing mechanics (i myself can beat it without it but its rough asf to do that and its nearly impossible without using hargon in -party........although there have been some players that have beaten it like that. so far not even i can manage that XD )

make sure hargon and michelle are both in your party, then use pairing ability accordingly.........it's a tough fight.

it hasn't had a plot/quests update in a good while bc our team is making our first commercially sold game and we're hard at work for that. but the updates that have been happening (new locations, items, some system, etc.) for the sandboxy part of it get semi-regular updates and will continue to~ until we can revisit for big plot update. ^ ^
