              “Wait-” he said, aquamarine eyes growing wide as he come to a sudden stop. “You brought me here to help you fight a dragon?” Though Myde was unable to shake the slight tone of fear and panic entering his voice, in the pit of his stomach he felt a stirring of excitement. “You do know I’ve never fought anything like that before, right?” The Nocturne never had been trusted with missions of great importance after all. 

              Seconds later, Myde followed close behind Hawke down the ledge. If he was going to get lost, he’d rather do so with the champion than on his own. “So, maybe it’s time you explain what we’re actually doing here?” He asked a little skeptically. The other had been just a little space with the details thus far and Myde did not take pleasure in the uncertainty. 

“Dragon huntin’ of course~ The workers have been talking about dragonling sightings. Where there are babies, a momma isn’t far off.” He hadn’t warned the younger about the danger they were wandering directly into simply from experience. The name bone pit was enough to assure the other’s would surely ignore his requests to join him. 

             Raising an eyebrow, Myde couldn’t help but release a small laugh, a knowing smirk playing on the corner of his lips. “You must hold your companions to high standards if you need to put them through that many tests. Now tell me, did I pass?” 

“Only if we make it out alive, kid.” Jumping down a small ledge he started along the exit path.

              “I’m sorry, would you rather have had me let you carry on a fall down that hole back there? The other path wasn’t safe and you know it.” Frowning, Myde crossed his arms over his chest. Oh the thanks he got for trying to help out. 

“I knew it was there I was just testing your loyalty.” He mumbled. Finally his eyes settled on a familiar path. “I’m also not lost! That was also a test...” 

              “Wait, we’re lost? I thought you said you knew where you were going!” Whether to trust in Hawke’s words or not was becoming an eternal struggle for the blonde. For a moment, Myde even paused to wonder: even as a stranger to this world, would he get himself this lost? 

“Again you astound me by finding a way to backseat caravan drive this excursion without a single caravan in sight.” He mage huffed and looked about them. Perhaps wondering this far out into bone pit hadn’t been his best plan but his best plans had been born from worse circumstances.
