‘— I have,” he shook his head as his words drifted off, “absolutely no idea what is going on right now, but I’m completely okay with this.” He directed his attention to the dog and pet its ears. “Hiya, puppy!”

Draco let out a nervous laugh himself, but rolled with the situation. “It’s a cute lil’ pup, isn’t it?”

“That is a conundrum.” Sully nodded his head, watching the boy’s reaction. “Why are you getting awkward at that? No one here is rich. We’ve all been through what you’re going through.” He then listened to Draco’s comments and couldn’t help but smirk. “If I was going to take the piss, I would have done so by now. Besides, there are much more amusing things than this to laugh at.”

“Did you just fucking call me sir?” Asher frowned at the boy who seemed years younger than him. But it occurred to Asher that tragedy had aged him, in a way he never though he could. Asher just became more and more confused as this boy beamed happily like he was having a great time talking to him. “Just… don’t be an asshole to others, and I’m sure you’ll be fine.” Asher commented gruffly. It’s a shame Asher couldn’t take his own advice.

Melody was in a rush, trying to buy necessities for the apartment that she had forgotten to bring with her, and in her flurry of trying to remember what she needed, she had been too caught in her thoughts to pay attention to where she was walking. “Oh, no, I’m sorry!” She replied, leaning forwards to check he was okay. “I should have paid attention. Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, I promise.” Draco assured the girl, a small smile gracing his lips once he was sure she wasn’t angry. Upsetting her had been his biggest worry upon the collision, and thankfully she seemed fine. “Are you alright? I’m too clumsy for my own good.” 

Hermione was glad to be away from the cold of Boston. She loved winter, don’t get the girl wrong, but she loved summer even more, or just the idea that it never was below like sixty on this little island. She had her earbuds in, as she walked from her apartment down to a little cafe grabbing a coffee and some breakfast. 

Having the hot coffee in one hand and the brown paper bag that had an extra meat filled ham and cheese croissant in the other, the twenty two year old hadn’t been paying attention where she was going, when she collided into someone else. Thankfully it was just a bump then them both falling over or getting coffee spilled over either of their outfits, Hermione let out a soft laugh. “It’s okay. I was in another world” She said pulling out her left ear bud so she’d actually be able to hear the guy who she had bumped into. “Well, if you’re looking for some good coffee, There is a really cute cafe at the end of the road.” She said with a small shrug of the shoulders.

“There is..? I’ll have to check that out, then.” Draco was incredibly grateful over the fact the girl didn’t seem upset over their collision. A negative confrontation wasn’t something that he’d have enjoyed as one of his first experiences in Paradise, and he doubted it would’ve made her day a good one as well. 

As an afterthought, once he adjusted his guitar case back on his shoulder, he couldn’t help but add on what was troubling him at the moment. “Do you know where any of the housing areas are? I’m sort of dreadfully lost. Or even a job center. I’m... Well, as I said. I’m all out of sorts currently.” Not wanting to make her feel obligated to help him, he found himself quickly making sure he wasn’t bothering her. “If you’re busy, I’m sorry. I just was sort of wondering. I was about to stop and ask someone for some information.”

“Ooh, that’s a bad idea,” Tristan joked. “What do you wanna check out first? Beach or quaint shop things?”

“Beach, please?” Draco asked almost shyly. Though he needed to get things taken care of, going to the beach was something he’d wanted to do for years. “Last time I went to one I was about six, maybe. It’s one of the many reasons I chose Paradise to come to.”

I-I.. I really don’t.  Please don’t be upset with me…? I genuinely, genuinely don’t have an answer for you for this. I’ve never felt- well, those kinds of things before.

Daisy’s such a lovely name! It makes me happy to know that you go out of your way to be a decent person. A lot of people don’t do that nowadays.

I’m not going to, don’t want to rip open my stitches. 

But if the danger of ripping them wasn’t there, you really would hit me?

“Everyone deserves to feel welcome!” He said enthusiastically, nodding happily. “Ooh, a mash up. Well, Monsieur Holmes, shall we go exploring then?”

Draco couldn’t keep the bright grin from his face now, and he let out a hearty laugh. “Yes! Let’s explore! I’m putting all my faith in you.”

Matheson couldn’t help but let his cheeks burn a brighter shade of crimson, so overwhelmed with embarrassment over this situation. He graciously took the curly haired boy’s hand, and found his way to his feet. Math did a quick check to make sure all his bags were accounted for, before resting his eyes back on the boy who he’d almost tripped over. “I t-thought I didn’t r-recognise you, and that m-must be why,” Matheson stuttered, giving the boy a shy, albeit warm smile. “It’s a b-busy place I will s-say, and if you need d-directions to anything, I’m h-happy to help!” Matheson noted the boy’s smile, and was glad to see that their meeting hadn’t overwhelmed him. Matheson still felt bad. But when he introduced himself, Matheson’s eyes tripled in size as his jaw fell to the ground. “Draco? Y-your name is Draco? My f-ferret’s name is Draco! Inspired b-by the Malfoy, of c-course. You d-didn’t need to know t-that. Oh my goodness, I’m r-rambling aren’t I? I’m s-sorry, you probably have p-places to be, and-” Speaking so fast that he was almost out of breath, Matheson went red again as he collected himself. “Matheson. M-my name is Matheson.”
