My friend Leo here was such a beautiful example of why pitbulls are NOT always dangerous and mean. This guy snuggled with us, gave us paw, and would cry when we didn’t give him enough attention. He came in for some muscle atrophy on his head - he may have a nerve sheath tumor but mom is willing and ready to do any further testing and treatment he may need. When I was going over his in house blood results I mentioned how snuggly and perfect he was and she even said she calls him her chihuahua because of how on top of them he always is 😂 She very happily agreed to give us permission to share pictures of her incredible boy. We have accomplished so much together and you continue to make me proud every day with all of the progress you’ve made. You are brave, so smart, sweet, funny, and try so hard to be such a good girl. This is the stethoscope that listened to 14 no longer beating hearts today. In my 12 hour ER shift today I euthanized 13 furry family members, and had one come in on death’s door and die within minutes of being inside. Yesterday I had about 8 euthanasias. In a 24 hour span I ended 21 lives. In our field we do view euthanasia as a gift to help end suffering and prevent further suffering, so these 21 animals did pass rightfully. And I’m doing okay because I know I ended suffering. But I am sad for these families who are one less family member.
