Sea and Sky
âI always exceed expectations,â Dick was unapologetically proud, sending Kaldur a look that was far too salacious to just mean cookies, and when he reached for the cookie, he was completely cool and confident. It fell apart before it could even leave the cup. Undaunted, Dick solved everything he could into his mouth, didnât even look slightly surprised. Or embarrassed.
This was work, and work was serious business, and this had the potential of getting really messy like most things did before (and sometimes after) Nightwing stepped in. But it was hardly the end of the world. Dick had been in this business a long time. He wasnât about the alarms just yet. This was work, but it didnât have to be terrible.
âNo matter their source, someoneâs got to be bringing them into the city somehow,â Dick pointed out, wiping milk off his jaw. âItâs a matter of figuring that out as well as who may have access to this sort of tech.â
âYou certainly do...â thought Kaldur as he arched an elegant eyebrow skyward, watching Nightwing somehow manage to get the nearly-disintegrated Oreo out of the glass into his mouth. He was pretty sure that he had never been jealous of fingers before but the way that Nightwing was currently licking his own had Kaldur forgiving himself the feeling.Â
âWhere was the shard found?â he asked a bit too quickly and he cleared his throat quietly to recenter himself, âI would bet that it is being brought in through the docks, though you have probably already thought of that. Do you know if the weapons are staying in Bludhaven or do they have another destination?â
Kaldur had to get his head back in the game. Nightwing had come here to ask him for help and he certainly wasnât helping anything by being distracted by the otherâs lascivious mouth.Â
