mom's day
to all the mothers out there
planning expecting single moms and single dads married
alive
and
dead
have a wonderful mother’s day
Day 26- Things you’d say to an ex
I can say as many mean things as possible. I can be a huge dick to the person who was once a really close friend.
I will say that our time together was the best learning experience I could have asked. Even if we broke up, I learned so much about what I want in a relationship with someone. I learned more about my philosophy of life. I learned that I can’t hate people with differing opinions about things.
I learned about gaslighting. I learned about manipulation. I know what it looks like so when someone begins to do it I can realize what is happening.
I learned about sex. God damn. Sex is awesome.
The last words you said to me were in response to me finally breaking up after the both of us were too scared to: “Thank you.” I had already cried enough tears. I was abnormally dry.
I never had a chance to say thank you. I know you are still around, so if you ever stumble across this, thank you.
Day 25- Four weird traits I have
I am lazy right now so I am going to make a list: 1. I bite my nails. Bite me. 2. My happy trail is literally 30 hairs max. 3. I have had the same prescription for my glasses since I got them 5 years ago. Also my optometrist said I had healthy eyes. Fuck yea. 4. I have a line of moles on my neck.
Here’s another stained glass thing. Probably the last one of these for a while.

Day 24- Something I miss
I finished school about 6 weeks ago. I found out I didn't get into grad schools. I have missed out on a bunch of internship applications, though I have sent in applications elsewhere. I miss structure. School has been a huge part of my life. I am around friends for a majority of this time. Now that I am in the real world *smokes cigar* I won't have that anymore. I won't have the opportunity to fail. I won't have the opportunity to just do shit without remorse. I will miss school. I already miss school. I hope to stay in contact with a majority of these wonderful people.
Day 22- My Morning routine
I have been getting some pretty good sleep for the past year, unlike some of my friends. My roommate is usually up until 3AM to do homework, while I fall asleep anywhere between 10PM-12AM. I am usually exhausted enough to come home from rehearsal at around 10:30 to just head to bed and pass out. Needless to say, I have been getting my 7ish hours. I usually set my alarm on my iPad for 6AM. My body clock usually has been getting me up at 7. Within the past couple of weeks I have been waking up at 3 or 4, not because my roommate wakes me up but because my body clock registers my 7 hours and decides to wake me up. I look at the clock on my iPad, curse under my breath, and try and fall back asleep. I have been pretty successful about that. My alarm goes off and I just lie in bed for a bit longer. I surf facebook or something, check whatever emails someone would have sent me in the wee hours of the morning, check reddit, you know the usual thing a young male adult does. I then get up and go do these same things in the living room. I take a shower anywhere between 8AM and 10AM. Afterwards I make whatever breakfast I feel like. I'm an adult, after all. It's usually a peanut butter and jelly sandwich; a wonderful concoction of Welch's grape jelly, Skippy chunky peanut butter, on Trader Joe's branded buttermilk bread. For good measure I toast the bread, which adds another element to the sandwich. I stole that idea from my other roommate. Work usually starts either at 10:45AM or at 11:30 AM for me. I get dressed in my white shirt and black pants, hop on a bicycle, put on Hamilton (though today I listened to Arctic Monkeys), and ride the two miles to work. That has been my daily routine for the past couple of weeks.
Day 21- My Zodiac/ Horoscope and whether I think it fits me
My horoscope sign is Libra, which apparently means that I am the balance of the universe, or some shit. I was also born in the year of the Cock, 1993. Pseudoscience aside for one second, at times I do feel like I am balancing many things at once. On one hand I would love to find a way to support my family. On the other hand I would love to explore the world on my own. I like to say I have a strong sense of justice. Sometimes I feel like I am the person people talk to about their problems. I am willing to lend a hand, after all. I get that from my mom. I totally identify with the year of the rooster; My body clock wakes me up before the world starts.

Third day's the charm. @southcoastrep #ppf2016 #theatre (at South Coast Repertory)
Day 20- Put your music on shuffle and write the initial thoughts about the first three songs.
1. And I Saw a New Heaven, from Vaughn Williams' Sancta Civitas I only bought this album to listen to Dona Nobis Pachem. I sang that in choir. Choir was my introduction into the arts. Now I am doing theatre, and I would not be here without people like the choral directors I had. 2. My Friends- Laura Marling Thankful of the friends I have. I learned of Laura Marling from one of them, and she is such a phenomenal artist. Folk music rocks. 3. Stay Alive (Reprise) - from Hamilton Give me tears. This is Philip's death, and the musical themes in this song are just fucking great. The heartbeat reflected in the music is just one of those, as well as them counting. There is no wonder how this won the Pulitzer and the Grammy, and it will certainly win the Tony as well.
Day 19- My Five Greatest Fears
1: Bugs 2: Spiders (they are arachnids assholes), but only when they encroach on my territory. 3: Death as a concept 4: The Thing 5: Jump scares.
A Poem
A mother lying in a hospital bed. She sleeps away abandonment from her friends. She sleeps away abandonment from her family. A man walks through the door. He is the only one who won't abandon her. He takes her hand and she abandons the world with him.
Day 18- My favorite color and why
My favorite color is blue.
Why? Maybe it was socialization as a kid. Honestly, that is probably the reason. However I have come to appreciate blue as more than just the color they wrapped around me when I was born.
Blue is a puppy. Blues Clues was what I always watched when I was a kid, with Steve and all. Leaving her paw prints everywhere around the house wouldn’t make me mad. I even had a stuffed Blue puppy. I was a raving fan, and once Steve left I lost interest in the show.
Blue is the color of my eyes. I have to live with these suckers for the rest of my life, barring some accident where they are scooped out of my head. I might as well learn to appreciate them. My dad has blue eyes and my mom had brown eyes. Every single one of their children has blue eyes. This cannot be a coincidence. It was meant to be.
Blue is a primary color. Yes? It’s partnered with red and yellow to create the very foundation of colors on a palette. You have limitless possibilities of combining each color to create a new color, but to be perfectly honest every color that comes out of blue’s side of the field is a lot cooler (pun intended) than the rest of the spectrum.
Blue has been in a majority of my school’s colors, save my first elementary school and my community college. Valley View, Rosemont, CV, UCI.

Day 17- A quote I try to live by everyday
"To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan, and not quite enough time." Leonard Bernstein I pulled this one from my facebook. This is what I do. I plan. I plan. I plan. I plan like there is no time to do anything. It's stressful at times, but it is so worth it to come out of the other side knowing I completed something. Time is fleeting anyways; I can't waste it.
Day 16- Bullet your entire day
- Wake up before 8 am - have breakfast - check Facebook/email/ etc - watch funny videos on youtube - bike to work - get to work early - serve food to people - 10 minute break - serve more people - get off work, bike home - get on computer - drink - bed
