DEADLY !

G’day, all you Bruces, Sheilas, and every ol’ cobber in between! Before we take our lil’ walkabout through the Outback, we gotta take a look over some rules so we don’t look like a mongrel or drongo. Don’t be a bludger, read through ‘em!

First off, the tour guide here (Bronwyn) is a lil’ different than your usual Dundee you might see on the screen. Why’s that? ‘Cause I said so! Because I believed the story presented could be better told through a different perspective. A lot of the details seemed to point towards a person who was Aboriginal, but they skirted around that. Inclusion does not remove entertainment value, and if you find entertainment in hatred, this isn’t the blog for you.

That being said: 1. Racism and discrimination against indigenous people and poc (ESPECIALLY WOC!) of any kind won’t be tolerated and 2. I’m not Aboriginal myself, but I have done and will do plenty of research. I’ve gone in depth on things such as learning about The Stolen Generation and stereotypes against Indigenous Australians and have been wary to avoid or subvert such stereotypical presentations of them. 

This blog will contain a few triggers, especially in the backstory portion. Specifics being mentioned are colonialism, discrimination and racism towards Aboriginal people, and child abuse. These topics may come up in threads, but I’m not going to outwardly write someone being racist towards Bronwyn and discourage it entirely coming from others. We’re not going to throw around slurs here. These triggers will be tagged appropriately when mentioned in a post. For me, personally, I would prefer if ANY nsfw/suggestive/spicy/smut posts, asks, and headcanons are tagged. I don’t care if people write it or talk about it, I just have a strange thing regarding consent and me seeing stuff not involving my character. I would also appreciate it if any mentions of toxic romances or abusive romances were tagged. 

I am a slow writer. Spontaneous and sporadic at best, given that I work five out of seven days a week. I have a full-time job, errands to run, and disorders I don’t feel the need to disclose. If you need fast–paced stuff, don’t try your hand here. You won’t get it on this blog. Do not remind me daily about a thread and definitely do not pester me daily about if I’m going to reply or not. This just makes me feel guilty and avoidant.

Roleplay is a hobby, and I don’t get paid for it. I will not write daily. You may, however, ask about my interest still if it’s been a few weeks or a month since I last did something. My silence on the dash doesn’t mean disinterest, though. Maybe I’m tired or busy, as adult life usually is. I have a no rush policy for others and myself. Take your time and I will take my time with replies. I love asks/memes of any variety (ic meme, headcanon ask, etc.), so please send me some and I will get to them as I can.

Communication is of peak importance to me. If I upset you, if you have an idea of any kind (plot, ship, etc.), or if you simply want to reach out ooc and say hi… SAY SOMETHING! <3 I am a very enthusiastic person who prefers to be friends ooc. It makes writing way more fun. That being said: I can misinterpret tone / social cues. If I miss something or misunderstand, please speak up. I’m no mind reader! I adore being tagged in dash games, please feel free to tag me in them. It makes me feel included! I’m a slow writer, just to reiterate. I am not going to be fast with ic development. I enjoy ooc discussions and development because it doesn’t mean I feel pressured to write when I can’t. I’m not going to expend energy chasing you if you’ve never given me a reason to do so. I highly recommend you block me if you don’t want me speaking to you any longer, because if I don’t get the memo, I will assume you’re just ghosting me. That being said: don’t soft block me, hard block me so I don’t think it was a tumblr glitch or mistake.

Romantic shipping must be chemistry-based, and Bronwyn is a lesbian. I will not ship her with anyone under 25, nor any men. I also cherish and treasure other types of ships, so don’t think you HAVE to have the goal of romance. Smut may or may not happen. I don’t know whether I will or not yet, but if I do, it will only happen with those I trust. It will be tagged and under a read more if written. Anyways, I enjoy romantic ships but at the same time, I need people who are genuinely engaged and enthusiastic and don’t rely on me to initiate every time. I love people who show their excitement and passion because it lets me know I can actually put time into the ship and my character won’t be overlooked.
