this ain't ordinary life

i feel like growing up every1 knew abt ophelia’s life ghjkfh. her dad didn’t live in roscoe he lived like somewhere nice with beaches or smthn whom she went to visit every summer she never rly knew him. her mom was kinda like..... a town wide topic of gossip i’d imagine bc she’s always always suffered with problems like alcohol and drug use, and probably got around a concerning amount. 

ophelia as a result probs started out as really quiet bc she was always like :/ being affected by ppls judgement on her mom. she never really approached anyone first, and never really talked in classes unless it was to answer questions. once u talked to her tho she was truly a treat --- she always had a wild imagination and was probably a ton of fun and has always been a very caring person and a loving friend since she got no attention at home rly she clung to whatever friends she made

as time went on and she got older she got tired of that, she still wasn’t the type to be the center of attention and talk to whoever, but she was more self confident and didn’t care as much what people thought. she was the type to make wisecracks in class, and was probably one of those mysterious “rebel” patrick from 10 things i hate about you types from what it seemed. really though she was the same, she was always all about having as much fun as she could and loving everyone she was close to with the fullest heart she could give them. she probably started off with not many friends, but the more years they all spent in school together i’d imagine she’d have made a bunch of different friends from all over the map --- she’s enchanting and is that typa gal who makes u want to live a fuller life once u get to know her, kinda like a hidden gem until more and more ppl r like ophelia? oh she’s actually a cutie :’) 

so ya by the time they all went to HS together it was probs kinda weird like she was probs all over the maps in regards to cliques, definitely the type tht ppl went to to vent bc even tho she was friends with most she never spills anything she is the most loyal girl there ever was omg, and she would probs get ppl together who didn’t even kno each other’s names having random spa nights n game nights when her mom was out bc she hates being alone. but some ppl who never rly talked to her were probably like gfhjghf wtf that weird ass mean looking girl? WE TALKIN ABOUT THE SAME PERSON?

anyways she’s always been super into acting and art and music like REALLY into it like always posting snaps of her singing (if snap had been around) and she was always the go to for choir and stuff and u could just tell like with her talent and her personality that she was going to get her dream of doing something in hollywood whether they were ready for her or not and what do u know she did :) 

anyways first tho about 5 months before graduation her mom died which shook her whole world up bc like she was little and is such a dreamer that she always had hope that she would just stop and start to let go of all of her toxic ass habits but :( 

after that she probably just dipped............ she never went to the graduation and she got all her credits in order to just fuck off early because things were just a little too much with people apologizing and always being reminded and stuff

so she went to chase after her dreams, probably keeping in contact with less and less people as time went on. she played as a street musician everywhere she went, and she made her living wage as a nanny. she went all over the world, hitching rides and using everything she inherited for one plane ticket to europe and one back the US (used a few years apart). eventually she caught the right persons eye in a london on a live mic night and things slowly but surely started to take off for her and her music career. 

at first it was mostly writing, but about a year and a half ago she started to put her own voice out there (her style is like.... sabrina claudio, daniel caeser, H.E.R... her songs would play on their spotify radio). right now she’s really getting out there, not household but most people millennial age would know her i assume?? she’s one of those artists that’s like on the brink of making it big, i’d put her at the level of sabrina claudio, maybe even daniel caeser, maybe soon??????

now she is back because she would never miss this opportunity, also she feels at peace with herself and who she is so she feels like she’s ready to face her monsters from childhood that her mom fostered so a reunion (and a need for a break from working her ass off since she was 17) was the perfect push to get her right back here.  

she’s really mostly the same honestly, all of her changing has been going on under the surface tbh -- a lot of wallowing and like the nasty empty kinda sadness, a lot of pentup everything that i can’t wait to let into the light since this is her first time taking a break since she was 7yrs old, and a lot of loneliness. 

on the outside tho she’s still got that rosa diaz vibe, but once u actually talk to her she’s a total jake -- very energetic and always up for the craziest thing u can think of, always ready to be there to give u a nice hug or genuine smile when u need it, she’s always willing to be a friend if someone looks like they need one, very playful and :’).

so ya now she is back trying to write a new album playing mostly at the live musica place and probs trying to help out there whenever she can bc what else she gon do 

       WANTED CONNECTIONS    

ragtag hs squad: this would be like .... the all powerful connection of ppl from all different  “groups” like 3-5 people who were the smart kidos and the jocks and the drama kids and they all came together and formed this totally unexpected power squad who were super close even tho they maybe didn’t hang out during lunches or w/e they were always talking in their gc and everyone thought that they weren’t going to separate but at least a few if not all of them did and now it’s kinda awkward and sad and they’re all lowkey mad that they didn’t do anything to stay closer :( 

past bff:ok so these two were like soulmates since before the third grade class and always told each other they would be forever. they were inseparable during all the years, and she probably talked to them one of the longest after ghosting on roscoe when her mom died. they truly knew everything about each other’s lives, but as they moved on with their life they only knew each other thru facebook. now there’s the odd sense that their presence is still a comfort to one another, but they aren’t really sure who the other is anymore.

the one person she still talked to all these years:ok so they would be close but like...... not close u know????? this would be a person that got that she was always doing stuff and couldn’t be there everynight to call them and she got that about them too but boy like.... when they did talk they would either have 4 hour long phone calls till 3am or would be texting novels and getting super deep. they aren’t attached at the hip, they might not have the wildest and most fun times but they really do get each other, and trust the other so much that they can talk about anything after any amount of time. though maybe it’s weird now that it’s in person now, maybe not -- this can stay a nice little non-complicated friendship or we can shake it up 

sorry i ghosted u when we were like haha almost a couple :): ok this one,,, could be interesting i imagine they were like a couple right before ophelia left but also never really officially a couple....... like they hung out and went on dates and slept together and had like.... really feelings and would talk about what they were going to do after graduation and shit but then ophelia left and it’s kinda like :) oh :) 

i saw u grown up on insta and was like damn:ok so imagine like..... fwb but like fdhjkghd long distance????? so like no real contact but one of them saw the other all grown up after they graduated on insta or something and slid into their DMS and texts/snaps/skypes have been SAUCY 

rocky high school sweetheart exes:please let’s just do something wild with a lot of angst bc things have been left for so long now they see each other again and it’d like OH MY GHJHGOD worse than it was in hs

rivals: oh my god so much fckn fun 

enemies: perhaps they didn’t get along because of some reason related to an accident that embarassed the other, jealousy, or because they talked shit about ophelia’s mom, either way now that ophelia is more confident and sure of herself than ever it’s going to be even more of a war :’) 

confidants: hmmmm this would be really cute because i could imagine them spilling their feelings to each other in high school and it’s kinda awkward now bc they were always crying and healing around the other and maybe they’re trying to act like their life is perfect and they don’t need the healing again and therefore don’t really need to other but imagine one night it all comes out and they just end up in their old spot crying their eyes out :’)

the crush: this could be from either end but wouldn’t it be fun for them to encounter the person that they had a hopeless crush on all throughout growing up and now they get all nervous and flustered and maybe make a joke like wow lmao i used to have a crush on u wasn’t taht wiLD and we can talk about where this goes it could be funny or cute or soft WHATEVA

study buds: this doesn’t neeeeed to be about school but maybe just two people who saw each other’s potential in what they were passionate about in HS and are now meeting again and maybe one will need the other’s encouragement again or maybe the other is passive aggressive bc they were less successful in meeting their goal and r jealous idk could be cool
