How Long Weâve Waited
miboy:
Sorey kept lingering at certain moments, like the way he kept holding on to his hand, but he tried not to think too much of it. He seemed otherwise fine, at least as much as one could expect.
âWell, as long as itâs not too bad, letâs head to the surface,â he said as started walking toward the exit.
There was so much more they needed to discuss, but staying there wasnât going to help anything.
âDo you feel well enough to fight?â he asked. âThere arenât many enemies around here now, but there could be some wildlife.â
It was then that Sorey hesitated from moving from his place. It made sense that even if his actions helped with the cleansing of their world that the local wildlife would remain as it was. But in what he knew of the area, the only thing they could encounter that could be intimidating were animals like wooly boars. And those particular animals usually would run off instead of fight, unless cornered. Did that mean that other creatures had decided to migrate due to the changes in the world? Which would also mean that the things he had previously read in books were now outdated...?
...Aah... he definitely wanted to check this out.
He held a hand to his chin in thought before glancing at Mikleo. His friend did have a point. Whatever was there for them to encounter, being unarmed would be disadvantage.
âWell... I donât have a weapon, and I think I still remember how to defend myself with my hands.â he laughed meekly, âDo you think I can survive with just that?â
