They came upstairs this morning and woke her up to play 😂😂😂

finally found a new dentist and made an appointment (i need a night guard and i want invisalign, i don't want to deal with this insecurity anymore... having 2 HG pregnancies and kid stress i need serious work done) ... this was giving me so much anxiety, i'm so glad i did that

folded 2 loads of laundry and put them all away

had sky and babysitter fold and organize all of her clothes (sky gets money for chores outside of her savings account)

had sky and the babysitter take the laundry to dry for me

had the babysitter wash all of the dirty bottles

steam ironed all of my wrinkled dresses and nice tees (who am i even??)

perused marketplace for a covered radio flyer wagon

followed up with some potential customers

made kids breakfast (kosher kitchen in this house, no way i'm letting this girl touch my mil's stove lol)

ordered groceries and put them away

HOWEVER — you can call it PDRN all you want but please remember you’re putting SALMON SPERM on your face

But… am I an idiot to throw away what could become tens of thousands of dollars for my kids in decades of accrued interest???

Money is money. I’m not voting for him or endorsing him in any way, but if it’s truly no strings attached free money… should I just take the money and at least be glad they get SOMETHING out of this horrendous Cheeto man’s existence????

I have the Acer in its box, ready to go back. I bought the Apple Mac Neo and I haven't had a Mac since like 2022 and I'm never going back - this is amazing

If you don't need memory for your computer to work for anything but emails, small tasks, and Netflix, definitely not worth the price tag

But the Acer was $650, the Neo is $699 + Kevin got it financed for 0% for 36 months by getting a BB card. Hell, yeah. Plus, aesthetically it's simply amazing and sensory wise the keypad is heaven.

These laptops are our livelihoods re: work and soon we're both going back to school and these are necessary purchases for us (Kevin has had his Mac Pro for 6 years and it works so he will use it to "run and upload" stuff but the new one will be his primary computer). Sky gets my 1.5 year old drunk Lenovo that glitches and goes sloth-level slow.

She’s only here through August because she goes to school in Nebraska but I’m going to Miami in September and I now have a lotta babysitters’ contact info so if I need help every so often, I’ll call one of them

But the girl I hired Is 100/10 the best and I felt comfortable with her, like I could speak without a huge filter because we understand eachother

She’s studying to be a special needs teacher and came over with a binder of lessons for Sky and I was so impressed. The interview was us taking the kids on a walk to DD and back, which I had never done a “walking interview” before but I think it was a good idea!! Less awkward than just observing them in your house lol

- signed Sky up for a hybrid soccer & baseball program 1/week and she’s excited 🥹

- 3 more nanny interviews today, I had 3 duds so far

- found out that my GPA from college is high enough to apply for my Masters in SW 🙌🏽 (graduated 2016, after 5 years of family & financial instability and my grades were not good in maths/sciences like Chem)

- I have a meeting with an academic advisor for my masters program today

- tough to find a gym with childcare, but I will persevere

- I’ve had a blank TikTok that I did not use for years, finally got the ⚽️🏀⚾️ to start posting just my unfiltered content re: motherhood, PMDD, body acceptance, etc and it feels good. I don’t care what comes of it, but it’s good for me to do it. I can feel it.

Had the most disappointing nanny interview today, good lord in heaven

Last time too many of the kids in her group were like feral animals that just created constant chaos

She went 2 days this week and will probably continue until end of summer & tomorrow I’ll take her to sign up for pottery / art classes

I tried to convince her to take BJJ but she is anti-any type of fighting apparently 😆

Going to see if she wants to add acting / singing classes OR soccer to her schedule

This was my second touchscreen (my first lasted 3 years but they’re so cheap I didn’t care too much)

But one year???? That’s insane

Its out for delivery but Kevin is really pushing me to go back to Apple (my last mac broke in 2021ish but I wasn’t working at the time and didn’t want to drop so much $$$) and I think I’m going to do it

I can’t explain it but I didn’t like her energy AT ALL and having her around me for 4 hours made my skin crawl

She had a dark energy, I didn’t love her tone when correcting the kids, she seemed annoyed that Atlas wanted to walk around the house and she had to follow him, I could tell she was not going to be able to patiently deal with Sky’s ADHD, especially if I’m not around I can see this girl yelling.

It was supposed to be 5 hours but I couldn’t take it and I found an excuse to cut the day short.

She is 18 and Latina as well, and after she heard me chatting to my Mimi in Spanish she was like, “oh, are you like half or something??”
