Having White Lily kill herself in order to stop Dark Enchantress and achieve freedom and framing this as the best choice is not right and sends a very harmful message to people who struggle with suicidal thoughts and tendencies. Suicide is not freedom, it is robbing yourself of the true freedom of becoming something more before you had the chance to, yet this plot point tries to frame it as if it's the only choice for freedom which is incredibly harmful (coming from someone who struggles with this shit).

Eternal Sugar being written as redeemable and being written as being able to heal from her behavior and trauma and maybe even have an actual healthy relationship with Hollyberry instead of the unhealthy, obsessive one she has now, only to be killed off before she could see even a fraction of that redemption and healing is not good, tragic writing, it’s just bad. There are good, tragic ways to do the trope of redeemable antagonistic character dies before they can have redemption, this was not it.

The other beasts dying was also such bullshit since all the beasts seemed to be set up to be redeemable no matter how poorly it was done in their story (in terms of Mystic Flour and Burning Spice's storylines) or how well is was done (in terms of Eternal Sugar and Silent Salt), and it just makes them feel like wasted characters. I would have much rather DevSis go for the corny ass friendship is magic ending instead, because at least then the beasts' storylines would actually have purpose to them instead of just being some villain for the ancients to fight before they get killed off.

Introducing Sugar Swan into the story only for her to barely do anything is bullshit. I can’t really speak on this much because I haven’t played CROB (nothing against CROB btw, it’s not really my type of game) but introducing a character who seems to be extremely important to the lore only to have them do jackshit is lazy writing.

Shadow Milk getting all the beast's powers at the end barely had any fucking buildup and just came out of fucking nowhere. Like- I skip the cutscenes a lot because I'm an impatient motherfucker and would rather have the story summarized to me and even I can tell that plot point came out of the fucking blue. (also not to mention how, like the other beasts being killed off, it also ignores the actual potential for redemption that Shadow Milk has in favor of having him go on a power trip instead)

A guy who is lowkey good yet his methods are (from legal point of view) questionable (Steals, his business operates outside the law) and happens to carry deadly weapon around

His sidekick #1 who is (obviously) younger than him

His sidekick #2 who happens to be a supernatural being and is close with sidekick #1

A privileged rich blondie who can beat shi and has beef with the Boss of this trio

Dont talk to him or his father figure ever again
