once again i think a lot of people took folkmore and created a new version of taylor that doesn't exist and now they're upset that she's still in fact the huge whimsical theater dork she's always been since day one. she doesn't care about being edgy or cool, that's why we gravitated towards her in the first place lol

and i am sure these people have substantive critiques of taylor and that's really fine that does not upset me but it's just like i cannot find peace.................. every time i complain about this, really well-meaning people show up to be like 'you just have to tailor your algorithm <3' and like yes i do that, that is important, but it does not solve for the ever-present 'this person whose commentary completely unrelated to the music industry i generally really respect has some kind of personal vendetta against taylor seemingly because they simply don't like her general vibes and have decided that means she's the perpetual butt of the joke' and perhaps i'm just a little baby for being so annoyed about it but that is my cross to bear in this life i guesss lol
