Man, I feel you–I mean, they probably don’t make thigh highs sh–… the right length for legs like mine–not adult ones, anyway? It’s pretty embarrassing, having to shop for like, middle-school sized clothes, but I bet we could find a pretty nice place around here?

And–they have thigh highs with kitty ears and kitty faces on them???

We need some, Maaru-chan. Like. Immediately.

Yeah!  I’ve seen a lot of super cute ones--when I got my yukata, I saw a whole bunch.  Not just kitty ones.  Paw print ones...  

Man, as long as I have a few comfy outfits, I’m fine–but god, yeah, I know what you mean. I’d totally invest in some thigh-highs if it wasn’t so hot, honestly? Anything to not sit down and just feel all gross and scratchy!

Man, though, we could maybe find some really cute outfits to try on, too? That’d be pretty fun!

We could and definitely should...!  I’d be shy about going with thigh highs, but... hey, at least fall will be here before you know it and you can get some in preparation?

Ah, man, that’d be great!

I mean, as much as I love wearing it all the time, it’s starting to get a little hot, y’know?

Man, I sympathize...  I have a few t-shirts and some jeans, but...  Even summer uniforms get pretty agonizing to be in.

-He takes the name tag carefully.-

-And he attaches it immediately. And he gives it a little flick with his finger so that it makes a pleasant clinking sound on the collar where it rests.-

-He is exceedingly pleased.-

I am a good dog.

-She reaches up to pet the top of his head as best she can without disturbing the ear headband she had gotten him.  A scritch under his chin.-

-He puts it on immediately.-

-He puts it on, and he puts on the ears, and he puts on the tail. He is so intense about this. Where are his little pawgloves? There they are. He gets them. And then he stands in front of her and wags his butt a little to make it appear like his tail is wagging.-

I love you. I’m going to marry you.

Oh...

-Doki doki.-

I take it that’s...  It’s a hit, then.

I didn’t know if you’d want to put it on or if I would be, so... Um...

-She takes a moment to dig through her pocket before holding up a little gold name tag that says “Noriaki.”-

-He is already putting on the ears, setting the plushes together on a chair, and starting to unwrap some of the Nintendo goodies when he spies the other box still hiding underneath! He quickly goes to open that first.-

I love them! Thank you very much for–Oh! I almost missed this..?

Oh!  That, I...  well...

It’s kind of... It’s something I got you on a bit of impulse, I s-suppose, it’s...

-Well, he’s opening it, so no take backs.  There it is.-

-A green leather collar.  Just right there.  And a leash.-

I didn’t know if you... liked that?  I can wear?  You can wear?  You’re the... birthday boy.

-Oh goodness, he is absolutely delighted. Look at this cute little basket. Look at all these cute things inside! He makes little sounds of awe and admiration as he sorts through all these lovely gifts, and blushes a little when he sees the fuzzier parts of this gift basket. He gets a sheepish little smile when taking out the ears, but his eyes gleam when he sees the plushes. Are his eyes watering up? Perhaps just a little! He takes them both out and gives them a soft squeeze.-

This is…This is more than I could have imagined! You didn’t have to go through such trouble…I…

-He then is upon her immediately, giving her a most grateful kiss on the lips.-

-She leans up to his kiss as he looks over everything.-

O-Of course...!

-However, it seems that she has hidden something under the pair of wolves!  There’s another box that’s unwrapped but looks a little bit big.-

I’m sure it’s not corny at all, my dear!…Unless you got me actual ears of corn for my birthday. In which case, I suppose that would be quite corny.

-He kisses her back before accepting the box, smiling brightly as he goes to open it!-

-She watches as he opens it, waiting for his reaction.  Settled inside a basket is a a cherry-patterned face plate for his 3DS as well as a few cute keychains and charms to go with it.  A nice pair of wolf ears and a tail to pin on--but the center piece seems to be a matching pair of plushes.  One seems to match Howlin’ Wolf, whereas the other closely matches the fursuit in the closet.-

Oh my! You did? I want to see! Certainly, please show me! It’s a little childish of me, I guess, but I’ve always liked to open my presents right away…

And take-out and cake is perfectly fine with me. That’s my favorite way to spend a birthday, honestly! You’re so thoughtful!

Well, I hope you like it--hold on...

-She pauses before pressing a small kiss to his cheek and pulling away.  She ducks into her closet--fortunately, the one without a huge fursuit taking up space.-

It’s kinda corny, but...

-The box isn’t exactly small when she offers it to him.-

Oh my gosh, you’re just too sweet…! Look at you and your cute blush!

-He has taken notice of the cherry lip gloss. It earns her a little bit of a NIBBLE, in fact. Then he just settles into nuzzling her, curling an arm around her shoulders to pull her close for maximum cuddle.-

Did you have anything special planned for me? I wouldn’t mind if I simply spent the night in with you..!

W-Well, I made something for you!  And I have presents, too...

-Although it’s his birthday, it seems Maaru is the one to be gifted with plenty of kisses!-

You remembered! Th-Thank you..! 

-Look at all these kisses she’s getting!  She tries to keep up, but no, he is too speedy with those kisses.  Is that cherry lip gloss she’s snuck on?  Perhaps.-

Of course I remembered!  Especially after all those stuffed animals and... and you know, on my birthday...
