last post I want to make regarding this because I don't want to get too up in my arms about it (even though I am not going to lie. as unbiased as I try to be on this blog I am in fact a person with emotions. waking up on a schoolday at 6:30 and immediately seeing this upon logging onto tumblr while already running my mind through reasons to even get through the day made me feel like shit I'm ngl)

but I'm so serious you do not get to put down other people's blorbos on here. don't do that. the ONE character I've supported making fun of during this tournament is max until dawn and that is because that man is no one's blorbo even his submitter hates him. but as soon as there's anyone who cares about a character here EVEN if it's just me, I'm going to ask you to stop

and for the record I am running this tournament for free and for fun. if it stops being fun for me I can stop anytime. I don't want to, but I'm just saying

"Major Gnosia normal ending spoilers just as a warning. Also I'm writing this primarily about the game, since the currently airing anime hasn't gotten to the parts I'm talking about. Also, Setsu is nonbinary and goes by they/them pronouns only!!! Setsu and the protagonist (named by the player in the game, named Yuri in the anime) are trapped in a time loop together, but looping in a different order (ie the player's 12th loop may be Setsu's 30th, Setsu's 2nd may be the player's 98th, etc) so while they work together on the spaceship they're trapped on and trust each other deeply, they aren't always on the same page. Setsu is pretty implicitly in love with the protagonist though--at one point, to avoid suspicion over them working together, they say that they and the protagonist are lovers. Setsu (who is asexual) explains this as them having a spiritual connection, it's very sweet. Some other things Setsu says that are kind of romantic to me with all the context of their love for the protagonist: l ""You used your precious free time to come see me? That's unexpected, but… Hehe, I'm glad you came, [player]."" ""Also, thanks. Even if it's just this once, working together with you, [player]... It was really special to me. [player], together, we can overcome anything. Hehe, I really think so."" ""[player], you and I may not be on the same side next time, but... In the bigger picture, I'm always right there with you. Please don't forget that. I want you to trust me..."" ""To be honest... I feel safer when I know you're on my side, [player]. So this time... Ah, how do I put it...? I'm... glad it worked out this way."" ""Hehe, [player]... I wonder what I'll be like when you see me in the next loop. Maybe I'll still be too shy to tell you..."" ""This loop, that I spent together with you... I don't want it to not have happened."" As for going back in time to save the protagonist, it's kind of not a traditional ""player dies and Setsu has to save them"" situation the way I think most submissions will be, but rather the protagonist is the cause of a paradox and Setsu saves them from the paradox by going back to the start of the loop, even if it means they'll keep looping, maybe forever :')
