Killing rust and trying out CSP
Do you have a Twitter my dude? I'd hate to leave your art behind on this website
Hey anon, don’t know who you could be but it’s real cool that you give a shit. It’s pretty fucking funny that this site is finally dying around the time that I also thought about drawing and posting again. I’d been procrastinating on making a twitter or insta a lot so I guess this’ll be the initiative for it, just made it earlier so if there’s anyone else out here that cares @doodlezbd on twitter.Â
Also might as well use this post to say that to everyone that’s been messaging me/this account about where I’ve been/am I dead/am I okay, I’d like to apologize for phasing out of this plane for like 2 years lol. Just got thrown into a torpor from some life/family quandaries, you all know the drill this shit happens to all of us. Hit me up on that new twitter, it’s gonna be roughshod and ramshackle for a bit but yeah it’s where this bag of bones will be. Â
I found Kim Jung Gi from your post about inspirations which also lead me to Katsuya Terada and they're now two of my all time favorites and their work along with the studies you've been posting have renewed my motivation to actually learn art instead of just scribbling and getting frustrated all the time. Thank you.
Hell yeah, dude. Â Katsuya Terada is also another one of my influences, his lines are so juicy!
I’m glad to hear you’ve got the improvement bug now, and if I really played any part that’s mad humbling thank you.  I figured studies I posted were just something boring for most lol.  Keep that ball rolling!

Even if it's brief, it's nice to see you again. Hoping for more of your uploads. :D By the way, Which one do you recommend for beginners who are getting into art and comics stuff, Digital or Traditional/Pencil, Graphite/? I mean which one's learning curve is steeper and more sophisticated according to your experience? Keep the up work, bud. :D Cheers!
Hey what’s up it’s your old flake of a pal, doodle. Â
As far as arts and comics go, getting used to traditional material like pen/pencil is a smart idea because you’ll be constantly scribbling out ideas and concepts and in my opinion it’s much more efficient/comfortable to just slap that kind of shit down on some throwaway paper rather than sitting in photoshop.  When your options are limited it’s easier to keep your head straight with what you’re trying to accomplish at that moment.  Working in digital is inevitable and if you can draw with one thing you can draw with another, so I wouldn’t worry about what you’re working with to learn rather than just learning to draw itself.  Every medium has it’s nuances and struggles but if you cultivate strong fundamentals you can pick up anything eventually.  Never work with acrylics they are miserable.
T-thanks, you too!
Enlighten us, essential protip on figure drawing?
Abstract it all, break everything into shapes. Â Feel the form, my guy.
whats your schedule like when it comes to studying art, doodlez? what would you say is effective studying?
That really depends on how far you wanna go down this rabbit hole, I guess.  I don’t have a schedule but if I had to recommend something I’d say establish a momentum as early in the day as possible, could be as simple as some figure/gesture studies whenever you wake up or get off work/school.  When you work from imagination and you hit roadblocks in what you feel like you can draw - that’s the shit you need to study.  As long as you’re constantly wondering why something looks the way it does or how it works you’re studying effectively.
Real chill stream, thanks for droppin’ by!
I’d like to make it a goal to post/stream more now that life’s calmed down a bit.Â
Just another stud.  Sorry about the waves of inactivity, just been feeling aloof towards my art and shit so I’ve regressed towards off-the-grid grinding like I used to before I existed on the internet.  Just want to improve more, really.
Also, anyone got any hot wrist health tips?  My shit’s been all fucked up.

Just some studz, been practicing more with pencil too and it hurts my hands like Toblerone.
Thanks for that Angel. She needs more attention
For sure, fun to play and fun to draw.
New masters anon here. They expanded the amount of teachers available, I like a lot of the newer ones, but some of them don't have much content yet. I found Juliette Aristides, Chris Legaspi, Erik Olsen's Perspective series, and Joe Weatherly's animal drawing stuff to all be greatl. I noticed that you connect the neck to the the head too low. That can make the head look disconnected or mess up shoulder anatomy. Neck connects at the eyeline usually, but you connect to bottom of ears like loomis.
Yeah you’re right, the neck/shoulder area has been a blight on me.  I definitely use the ears/temple are as a landmark too much, thanks for pointing it out. Â
Thanks for the instructor recs, these guys all look real good I’ll keep them at the top of my list when I go in on NMA.  Rey Bustos looks good too, @voltblog
Why you no draw more fightan game girls and girls from different series?
I do what I want
Here have an Angel
study + the no-direction stream doodle I gave up on
taking a break from drawing was a mistake
