May or may not finish this comic.
Unsure of the exact timeline when this event occured but I would say somewhere between War Begins and HFW arc.
Lore goes: Scene started with Hana running in compete distress towards Nahm's company building. She swiftly avert the security guards trying to stop her from coming through. Using a keycard that was given to her and access her through the elevator floors, she lose them effortlessly.
She bursts into the private lounging room where Bruce and Nick stood by.
"My deepest apologies, sir! I tried to stopped her." Said the security, panting. Nick raised a hand with a nod then turned to the girl.
"How do you get here?" Nick questioned her unexpected visit. It's been so long since they last spoken to each other. He wasn't even sure is she remembers him.
She ignored his question, her chest rises and falls rapidly. Sweats soaked her entire face like she's been running for miles. But for what reason?
"You have to help me! Please! I need- Where is Kris Nahm? I need help! Please, my father- he-"
"Woah, woah, woah. Slow down. What's going on?" Nick approached her cautiously, trying to calm her down but she's not facing it as she have panic attack on the spot.
"No, you don't understand! They took him! He didn't even do anything wrong!" She yelled. Her emotions all over the place.
Nick knitted her eyebrows in confusion. "Took who? Who did?"
"My father! My house! We've been raided!"
Nick blinked, his eyes widened in shocked. "Raided?"
Bruce joined the conversation. Unlike Nick, there's little to no concern planted on his face. Atlas, she's a stranger trespassing his property.
"Excuse me, in case you haven't noticed we're not the authorities. Have you call the emergency line? The police perhaps?"
"The one that raided my house WERE the polices!" She exclaimed.
"...What??" Nick uttered. "What are you talking about? What happened?"
Bruce rubbed his chin as he murmured, "Oh dear. Surely your father have committed a crime-"
Hana cut the CEO off, "He's not like that! I know him! Argh!" She pulled her hair, "I need Kris Nahm!"
"I'm sorry, but she's unavailable right now." Nick exhaled. "You need to calm down. We can-"
"Unfortunately this isn't a suitable place to discuss such matter." Bruce stepped between the two. "I suggest you take your leaves now."
Bruce raised his hand, cutting Nick off without much effort.
"Are you serious- Argh! Fuck!" Too angry and upset to argue further, Hana stormed out, almost hastily until her rapid footsteps disappeared.
A beat of silence passed as the two men stood there.
Nick turned to his boss, "With all due respect, sir that was rather harsh."
"Was she your friend?" Bruce raised a brow.
"She is Kris'." He replied.
"Explains why she was able to access her way in." The caned man walked towards the floor to ceiling window, overlooking the view of the city below. Nick's eyes followed the man's figure before speaking up,
"Correct me if I'm wrong. You seem to know more than you let on regarding her story. I may work for you, but whatever information that may concern Kris, I need to report."
"That you do, Nick Kwan." Bruce hummed. "To think that you were once an enemy of my cousin now working under her like a dog. It's priceless."
That definitely hit a nerve, though it's deserves but Nick ignored that. "Get to the point." The redhead snapped.
"I'll spill. They're working for Diego Kang."
"What?!" Nick stepped closer, "You're saying the cops-"
"Yes. That's why we as Nahm and those who worked for us, have been advised to not trust or accept any form of contribution with the government. Not that we have illegal matters happening behind our backs but to avoid attention, especially. Such as this."
He continues, "We had few hunches but none interfered. Ever since that retired idol declared himself as a politician, it only worsen the situation. So it's no surprise he have all the connections he needs to stop people like you and Kris. Someone who still in contact with the first generation kings that goes against the bastard's ideology."
Nick narrowed his eyes, "What does that girl have anything to do with this? She's harmless."
"That I don't know." Bruce sighed. "But I do know the person that is responsible of the raid team."
"There's two of them if I recalled."
"But you don't have to worry about the other one. He was assigned for a different task, I heard. Plus, there isn't any record where they have work alongside each other. I wonder why." He trailed.
Nick stood there as Bruce explained everything. Almost. They can't trust the government. Because the one that holds the strings is the mastermind himself. The raid was most likely a diversion, to get Kris' attention.
There's definitely something more Bruce isn't telling him but he decided not to pry. Yet. He'd wait until Kris confront her own cousin herself.
"H." Bruce uttered, catching Nick's attention once more.
"She called herself H. Nothing fancy. One of the first generation big shot and an underdog who goes solo. Do not indulge with her plans. She's mostly a pest. Kris will know what to do with her."
With that, the conversation ended. Nick nodded and excuse himself to fetch Kris' whereabouts, leaving the co-CEO who continue to stare at his own reflection.
After a moment of alone, Bruce lips curled into a sneer.
"H, old friend. You haven't change a bit."
