Purple started at the cricket and then at the human and then back at the cricket.
âYou think that,, whatever you called it looks like me?! It wishes it could look this good!â Looking at the cricket once more, his antenna lowered a bit. He was a bit curious about the creature, he hadnât seen anything like it before.
âCan I hold,, âdol-sisâ?â
Doppio laughed at the jade-skinned manâs response. He brushed a thumb over the cricketâs head.
âI bet he does.âÂ
Doppio nodded and eagerly handed the alien Dulcis, who didnât seem to be bothered by the sudden movements. He was occupied with drinking a drop of sugar water off of a leaf. âI named him after the Italian word for sweet, which is âDulcisââ
Taking the cricket into his hand, Purple inspected the little thing by bringing it up close to his face. He squinted as he made our small detailings and jumped a little at any sudden movements it made.
âThis, âDulechisâ.. does it fight? Or hurt anything? Can it be used to harm people?â He asked quickly in between sticking his tongue out in concentration while he studied the bug.
This might of been inspired by that voice clip of Zimâs voice actor. You know the one.

Red rolled his eyes. âPurp⌠we stationed a drone right down the hall for the pure purpose of getting doughnuts at a momentâs notice. Canât you just⌠walk a few more steps to get some instead of stealing them from me?â

Red grumbled to himself as he began snacking on the doughnuts again, hoping to finish them before Purple had the chance to steal them again.
âWhy do you have to be so lazy, Purp. Youâre a Tallest, arenât you supposed to be dignified and, you know⌠not lazy?â
The navigator quickly ran in, almost tripping over its feet to give Purple his bag of donuts. The Tallest snatched the bag with a quick, empty thank you, leaving the poor Irken to return to his work out of breath. He stuck up his non-existent nose at Reds words.
âNot being is lazy is boring! We have drones to do stuff for us. I guess I could do more if I really wanted to but⌠I donât really want to. Do you want me to do things?â
Red groaned. âNo⌠no Purple, I donât need you to do more things. But you are a Tallest. I canât just do all of the work, okay? You have to pick up the slack, too.â
Purple let out an unhappy moan at Reds words. Deep down he knew he had to pull his weight more, he just didnât like hearing it. He thought over the spoken words for a moment before replying.
âFine, fine. What do you want me to do? Please say not a mountain of paperwork, I donât think I can stomach that.â While waiting for a response, Purple shovelled doughnuts into his face, getting crumbs everywhere.

Purple was enjoying his day until he heard a familiar voice call out to him. With a groan he turned around and was greeted with a rather short presence.
âOh, uh, Zim! What a uh, what a surprise! ⌠whyâre you here?â
Zim stared up at the Tallest in complete awe, his eyes actually sparkling. It took him a moment to snap out of it, and he smiles excitedly. âOh! Why am IâŚhere? UhâŚI donât know! Zim just got her all of a suddenâŚâ He thinks for a moment, kinda confused himself.
Purple huffed at Zims answer. How could he not know? It seemed fishy but he went along with it anyways, he didnât feel like arguing about it. With a sigh he went to speak again.
âOkaayyy then...â The Tallest really didnât know what to do. Normally heâd break out into a fit but he really wasnât feeling it today, he was in a good mood and wasnât gonna let Zim destroy that, even if it meant socializing with the little invader.
âDo you want something? I totally would shoo you away but Red isnât here and I am kinda bored so.. you want anything? No requesting weapons.â

His attitude completely changed as he lunged to grab what ever doughnuts his Co-Tallest had, fumbling a bit in the process. He stuck a quick tongue out at him and turned to face the other way so Red couldnât quickly steal them back.
âOh no, looks like you donât have any more doughnuts, guess you gotta go get more all the way down the hall!â
âWhy, you little!â Red exclaimed as he reached for his beloved doughnuts, pushing Purpleâs face out of the way to make sure he got his treats back. âWhy do you have to be so lazy, Purple?
