Summary: You confess your love to your oblivious Captain and ending up falling asleep on you… in public.

Tonight… was different from others. You had been planned on telling Luffy how much you liked him. Luffy had always been oblivious to your feelings and occasional hints , though he never meant it in a rude way, just something he can’t control.
You always felt like it was too early to confess since he hasn’t done a lot to show if he reciprocates the same feelings back or not. Luffy compared to anyone on the crew is definitely the more stupid one when it comes to romantic cues.
Today that had all switched. You were determined to make sure Luffy understood that you liked him. You both went to an amusement park since it was pretty cheap, Nami gave you both money for snacks and drinks.. with 200% interest of course. Everything was nice until Luffy started to be a bit clingy and hugging onto you. You started to get a bit nervous when he started to basically snuggle you while standing up, so you decided to sit down before you confess.
“Luffy.. I have to tell you something”
“Huh? What is it?”
“I really like you.”
“I know? I like being with you too.”
“…Not like that, Luffy. I mean romantically.”
All you got back was a small giggle from Luffy, he then tightened his grip around you, Hugging you as tight as he could. A few people were watching as you felt the tension of awkwardness increased, Luffy then decided to finally reply, “Oh, Okay. I like you too still then.”
Luffy looked up at you with a toothy grin, and then continued to snuggle you while on the park bench, clearly not caring who was watching. He started to fall asleep while laying on top of you. You had watched as he slowly started to drift away. The big grin slowly turned into a peaceful expression. Sanji and Brook then had to come find you both, they were a bit curious on why both you were cuddling but didn’t press the issue.
