I donât exactly feel ready to announce this but Iâm saying it anyways:
I have been working on a Thunderbirds Videogame for the past week or so
Which has been going great, might I add!
- I made a player with swimming mechanics
- I made an intractable Thunderbird 4 with manoeuvring mechanics
- I made an underwater world map for the game
- and my friend @inkbedos is working on some original graphics for both the player and the submarine!
If anyoneâs interested in the Thunderbirds Videogame, you can go to @codebirdfantasy and look under the tag #thunderbird logs for it. I also have a playable browser for you to test the game yourself on itch.io
But I havenât been coding on it for the past three days because I have uni tomorrow and Iâve been spending the days trying to set up my digital planner on Notion and have it automated.
Only to discover that Notion is BS, and you canât automate crap.
So out of spite, Iâm building my own damn digital planner in Python to do my planning for me. Iâm gonna make it with Tinkter and SQLite.
so the coding blog content is gonna change, but there is thunderbirds stuff on there

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
The first chapter of my first multi-chapter fic! I hope that it's at least halfway decent. I kinda thought it would be interesting to write a fic from the POV of people saved by International Rescue so here it is :)
Summary
No matter who you are or where you are in the world, if you send out a distress signal, International Rescue will be there to answer your call.
âââââ
A fic from the POV from various people who have been saved by International Rescue. Each chapter focuses on a different member of the organisation. I will add each character in the tags when their chapter gets posted. The characters will be in order of how they appear in the title sequence.
Chapter 1: The First Responder
Tomas leans up against the cave wall, his knees drawn and head tucked towards his chest. He canât hear anything besides his own breathing and the gentle drip drip of water hitting the floor. His tears dried up a few hours ago and his throat is scratchy from all the screaming. He thinks back to his mother. She always warned him about the dangers of the caves, tried to talk him out of it, but he was arrogant, too confident in his own abilities. He should've listened.
His mother mustâve realised what has happened by now. Dinner was always at 7 sharp. Tomas was never late. It was now nearly 8. Maybe sheâs gone into the town, asking for a search party. It would be useless anyway, no search party would go this deep. He wants to sob, to scream, but no sound escapes, no tears fall. This cave would be his tomb.
Drip drip
He watches the water slowly falling from the stalactites. Itâs kind of pretty, he allows himself to think. Almost entrancing.
Tomas is drawn away from his thoughts by a sudden thumping noise from above. It echoes throughout the cave before melting into the silence.
Then, a few moments later, thereâs another.Â
Curious, he crawls forward, careful to not put any weight onto his broken ankle. He looks up at the cave tunnel he fell through.Â
âHello!â The voice is faint but it doesnât matter. Someone is here.
Tomas tries to shout, but all he can let out is a raspy âHelpâ.
Before he can spiral any further, he sees the flicker of a light. He scrambles for his torch and points it up into the tunnel.
. . . Â - - - Â . . . (SOS) He flashes the signal twice, his fingers trembling with each press of the button.
âTOMAS?â The voice is louder, itâs getting closer.
. . . Â . . (Si) Tomas responds.
âIS IT SAFE FOR ME TO COME DOWN?â The voice replies in perfect Spanish, although thereâs an American twang to it.
. . . Â . . . (Si)
âOK, IâM COMING DOWN!â
Tomas moves away from the tunnel entrance and watches as the light gets closer and closer. A wave of relief hits him immediately. Someone has come for him. Heâs not alone.
Finally, a man drops into the cave and Tomas recognises him immediately, who wouldnât.
âHi, Iâm Scott Tracy from International Rescue. Iâm here to get you out.â His voice is reassuring, and thereâs a softness to it you donât hear in the TV interviews. âCan you talk?â
âYes, but not much. Iâve lost my voice a little bit.â He manages to say quietly through the rasp in the back of his throat.
âThatâs ok, try to rest your voice as much as you can. Are you hurt?â
âI b-broke my ankle wh-when I fell.â His voice trembles a bit and Tomas canât help but feel a little embarrassed.
Scott offers him a reassuring smile, âItâs ok to be sacred, I know I would be too.â He reaches into a pouch on his harness and pulls out a small bag. A first aid kit. He looks at Tomas before asking, âCan I touch your ankle? I would like to administer some basic first aid.â
Tomas nods and watches as the first responder carefully examines his ankle. He reaches into his kit and takes out a small square item.
âThis is an instant cold pack.â He squeezes and gives it a shake before handing it over to Tomas. âDo you think you can hold that against your ankle?â
He nods again, taking the cold pack and doing as instructed.
âYour name is Tomas, right?â Scott continues and Tomas just nods in agreement. He feels like a bobblehead toy, incapable of doing anything but sitting there and giving a simple yes or no. âOk, Tomas, give me a moment.â He turns away from the young cave explorer and taps his arm guard. A small hologram flickers to life, displaying another man. Tomas doesnât recognise him, but based on his uniform he must be part of International Rescue too. Scott says something to the man in the hologram, but itâs in English so Tomas doesnât really understand.
After a short moment of conversation, the hologram flickers off.
âSo Tomas, first Iâm going to bandage up your ankle. And then Iâm going to help you get into this harness. After that, Iâll hoist you out of the cave using the cable I used to get down here. Does that sound ok with you?â
Tomas just nods again. He feels a bit useless, but what can he do? Heâs stuck down here because of his own stupidity. He shouldâve listened to his mother. She was right, he is just a kid. His life couldâve ended here and then what? What wouldâve become of his mother, his family? He lets out a sob. It shakes throughout his body. Before he even has a chance to breathe, the tears are flowing down his face, falling to the floor and mixing with the caveâs fresh water. Heâs so stupid.
He feels a gentle hand on his shoulder and looks up to meet blue eyes. âIâm sorry.â Tomas lets out between sobs.
âHey, youâve got nothing to apologise to me for.â Scottâs arms are open and outstretched and thatâs all that Tomas needs. He collapses into the rescuer's arms, body trembling. Warm arms engulf him, rubbing soothing circles into his arm. âYouâre going to be ok. Iâm not going to let you get hurt. Can you breathe with me? In⌠and out⌠In⌠and out⌠In⌠and outâŚâ
They stay like that for a few minutes until his tears stop falling. Tomas sniffles and allows himself to be held for a few more moments.
âAre you alright?â
The teen nods in reply. âI want to go home now.â He continues, brushing tears from his face. Scott gently releases him.
âOk, Letâs get you home.â
Scott talks Tomas through everything. Carefully bandaging his ankle and helping him into the harness. Once heâs securely attached to the cable, he watches closely as Scott clips himself on too.
âReady?â
Tomas nods. He feels safe with Scott.
It takes nearly half an hour before they reach the outside. They go slowly, careful not to jostle Tomasâs ankle. Scott keeps a hand resting on his shoulder, a quiet reassurance as he counts down the distance to the surface.
Itâs dark outside, and the first thing Tomas notices is the lights of his town in the valley below. Their glow is warm and familiar. Home. For the first time in a few hours, he smiles.
They continue their descent upwards and he looks towards the sky. Hovering above them is Thunderbird 1. Now Tomas isnât really into airships but he still gazes up at the craft with a sense of wonder. Its silver body shimmers in the moonlight. Oh, his little brother Lucas is going to be so jealous.
A few moments later and he is standing inside Thunderbird 1, leaning on Scott for support. Once the bay doors close, he throws his arms around the first responder.
âYouâre welcome, Iâm glad you are doing ok. Your family was really worried for you.â
Tomas pulls away. âI know, Iâm sorry. I didnât intend to go that far. I shouldâve been more careful.â He whispers slightly, trying not to strain his voice. He canât look Scott in the eyes.Â
âHey,â thereâs a hand gently resting on a shoulder, âyouâre right. You shouldâve been more careful. These mountains can be very dangerous.â The hand gives him a small squeeze and Tomas finally meets the manâs gaze. âBut, you were very brave. And you did the right thing. You let your family know where you were going and how long youâd be. Because of that they were able to raise the alarm and tell me where to find you. Youâre not an inexperienced climber by any means. You just need to remember to not push yourself too much. Knowing your own capabilities and limits is one of the most important things.â
Tomas nods, âI will be more careful next time. I promise.â
Scott smiles at him. âYouâre a good kid. Letâs get you to your family.â
***
The relief on his motherâs face is an image that Tomas will never forget.
âOh Tomas!â His mothers arms are around him as soon as he touches the ground. She mutters both prayers of joy and light scoldings to him, her grip tight but comforting.
âIâm sorry MamĂĄ, Iâm sorry.â
âItâs ok, itâs ok. Iâm just glad youâre alive.â
His mother slowly releases him and turns to look at Scott Tracy. He hovers behind them, a small smile on his face.
âHeâs got a minor fracture on his ankle. Iâm just going to take him to the hospital in the town centre, but I thought heâd like to see you first.â
âThank you, Mr Tracy.â Tomasâs mother walks up to Scott and holds his hands in both of hers. âThank you so much.â
âItâs no problem, Iâm just doing my job. Oh, and please, call me Scott. Mr Tracy was my father.â
âDonât downplay what youâve done for us, for Tomas.â She continues with a wave of her hand. âI will come to the hospital with you both and afterwards you will join us for dinner.â
Tomas chuckles slightly at this. His mother is not asking.
âIâŚâ Scott looks slightly taken aback. âI appreciate the offer, but I wouldnât want to impose.â
âOh, that is nonsense. You have saved my sonâs life, itâs the least I can do. Unless you have somewhere else to be? Other people to rescue?â
The pilot glances at his holographic display, âUh, no, nothing right now. But, I might have to leave at a moment's notice.â
âI understand, you are a very busy man. If you need to leave, you can go, but if you have nowhere to be right now, I insist that you stay.â
Tomasâs mother then turns back to Tomas, leaving Scott no room to object. He shoots the pilot an amused expression, you couldnât say no to his mother when she offered you food. âThank you.â He mouths at the rescuer as his mother rattles on about her plans for dinner later. Scott replies with a small smile and a nod and Tomas wonders how he will ever repay the man. He figures that dinner is the least they can do.
One for the gif makers amongst us... anyone else noticed that the sections of TB5 are coloured representing the rest of the Tracy family?
In the opening of Impact you see a clearly purple section for Grandma, a clearly green section for Virgil, and a clearly yellow section for Gordon. There's also a blue line visible in one shot for Scott.
I'm only 5 minutes in but am going to keep an eye out for any red there for Alan!

Itâs 2039, in a divided world on the brink of war it has become easy for humanity to become forgotten.
Fearing what mankind may become, a husband and wife duo, with the help of old friends, decide to make an old dream reality and do something about it.
This was meant to be a quick mockup. It took four days. I donât even know if I like it. Someone put me in the ground.
So a little about this:
It uses the timeline of my TAG rewrite (which will be posted soon) as a base, so is technically an au of an au. A timeline divergent prequel au! As a result, some things havenât happened yet (Lucille is still alive, Sam hasnât had his accident, some Tracy boys arenât around yet, etc)
Thank you @spectre-0ne and @thebirdfantasy for letting me through this at you both to bounce off of. And dealing with my screeches
I donât know if Iâll ever do much with it so other people can do whatever theyâd like. Change the bird designations around if you want, Iâm still not 100% it was really hard đĽ˛
Stats to show me losing my mind đ¤Ş:
Time logged: 16 hr 56 mins
Total brush strokes: 12937
Please forgive me Spectre for I did not make Charles ginger đ
Could this possibly be the same panel just re-uploaded/from a different perspective?
I can't see the first video either, but Thomas Brodie-Sangster seems to be wearing the same shirt as he is in the original thumbnail, and is sat next to Kayvan Novak as well. Could still possibly be a different video entirely, have parts cut out, or the the video from the official page might be a segment that isn't in the reupload, but it seems pretty lengthy as is.
(I also have no clue if it might be blocked as well, it seems fine here in NZ, but can't say for anywhere else)
It's one of my favorite panel recordings of the show, full of a lot of stuff around the early concept thinking, and a good amount of acting content as well!

Some doodles I made whilst watching Trapped in the Sky
Some thoughts on the episode:
When that guy was clinging onto the pipe inside Fireflash, could they not have closed the door so he wouldn't fall out? My first thought was 'oh, this guy is falling right out of there again' AND THEN HE DID. No worries though, they'd never have sent him out there without a parachute, which of course they did EXCEPT THAT IT DIDN'T DEPLOY! I was so stressed out for this guy, thank god for his spare, but wowee.
Watching the Thunderbirds get deployed is so satisfying
Scott: Yo, what's the status on that radiation shield? Pilot: Oh, that thing has totally expired, we're all dying here. (<- not how it went down but basically tho)
Virgil applies the brakes, they're not super effective, they're rapidly running out of runway and then Virgil thinks 'damn, maybe I should have used ALL my braking power for this' OH YOU THINK!?!?
Virgil: *crashes* Scott for 5 minutes: đ§ââď¸ Scott: Oh shit, Virgil are you OK? Virgil: đđ never better (when it cuts to him just upside down in the fsking peter griffin death pose I just about lost it omg)
Also my evil little brain that decides all blorbos must be whumped had an absolute field day with the potential of that little crash, like yes, YES!
Lady Penelope is a chaos gremlin and I love her for it.
Give me Virgil who always thinks itâs his responsibility to check in with everyone
Give me Virgil who is secretly exhausted from worrying about Scott because if he doesnât, who will?
Give me Virgil who doesnât want to be a shadow of Scott and his parents.
Give me Virgil who wants his own identity and to pursue his own interests.
Give me Virgil who is haunted by the faces of all the people heâs lost and pretends he doesnât see them.
Give me Virgil who, when he canât fall asleep gets up to play the piano but once he sits down he hesitates. Wondering if pressing a few piano keys can really save him from his grief this time.
Give me Virgil who resented the piano after the Zero Xâdad never liked the piano.
Give me Virgil who couldnât even look at his sheet music of âMoonlightâ because it holds the memories of the days after mom died.
Give me Virgil who canât find enjoyment in the little things like piano and painting after losing people on rescues.
Give me Virgilâthe bearâwho is weighted by a blanket of grief, but still manages to check in on everyone after a rescue.
Give me Virgil staring at his piano, not even wanting to find comfort in a melody because he doesnât think he deserves it after failing to save someone.
Give me Virgil who one day after a particular rescue doesnât look at his art and piano ever again, but instead does laps in the pool with Gordon as a form of punishment rather than a way to channel his emotions.

For a while now, I've been wrestling with this whole thing, distracting myself with jokes, art, trips, the gym acting like the topic doesn't even exist.
That was⌠until a few hours ago, when my dad nearly beat me up because he thinks I'm playing with my life by postponing my surgery. Honestly, they've been way more lenient with me than they had to be, considering I'm still underage and they actually gave me the right to choose.
Like, if my mom hadnât dragged him out of my room, he would have hit me. And when my dad hits, besides the sting that lasts a week, it's that cursed guilt afterward mixed with that look in his eyes that says (I'm disappointed in you) that crushes my chest way more than any physical pain.
So yeah, if I really am going through with surgery, I'd rather delete my blog first. Because after surgery⌠nothing's certain. And no joke people die. I don't want to leave this place behind with a blog still floating around.
Anyway, it's a heart valve replacement. Basically like changing a car wheel. But I've got a history of bad panic attacks, and I honestly wish I could skip it but in that case, my butt would be in danger from my parents instead.
So yeah, I'm gonna delete it. Not (maybe) .Definitely.
I'll miss you all. You've been like the big sibling I always wished for (and sometimes little ones too). Thank you for giving me energy by complimenting my art, and for letting me run my Brandon RP here.
God, I wish you knew how much I love you all even the ones who secretly don't like me but pretend they do. Thank you for making this place feel like a safe home for me.
I know we haven't talked much, but you're genuinely such a light to everyone you interact with, me absolutely included. It's always, and I mean always, okay to take a step back, whenever, for whatever reason. I'm sending over so many hugs, you've got this.
So @thundergirl007-writes uploading copies of the TAG magazines got me inspired. I decided to copy the colouring pages and make higher quality, transparent pngs so everyone can either download and colour them digitally or just print them off to use.
Here's part one, I'll be doing these randomly and maybe take a little creative liberties if I think they're needed.
