Okay I finished Witcher Blood Origin and it was really bad. The plot was nonsensical, the characters were barely characters, the relationships weren't developed at all, the elves were just humans with pointy ears (like if you watched only this show and nothing else, I'm not confident you'd even know that they have longer lifespans than humans), the songs were stupid, the political situation felt extremely underdeveloped, it takes a sledgehammer to pre-existing lore (to be fair the lore is pretty vague against but I'm pretty sure there were at least some contradictions), everything about stories felt weirdly self-congratulatory and quite unearned, also it seems like it portrays the Scoia'tael in the main story as uncomplicated good guys and while I'm not quite up to date for show canon, in the books they are a lot more complicated than that.
This part is only in regard to the German translation that I watched, but in addition to all of that I felt like the translation wasn't very good and there was one very egregious dubbing mistake where one character's dialogue was still going while on screen another character was already talking. I blame Netflix and crunch time.
TL;DR Show sucks ass
