I like cute content of Op and Bee as father and son cause Op acts like everyone’s dad so it’s nice and refreshing to actually read that kind of content from time to time…
Cause this fandom is pretty toxic most of the time…
But I also like to sometimes see/read some OpBee interpretations cause of how different their interactions are depending on the series (like Animated, WFC, IDW, etc)
I don’t dislike OpBee cause they literally are NOT related and both are old enough to date whoever they want. I personally don’t ship it but I don’t go out of my way to hate it, I see it more like that random ship that tends to appear from time to time and that I don’t pay much to attention to.
But Bee is a FULL GROWN BOT.
He can be shipped with ANYONE.
I honestly feel like anyone is free to have their own interpretation of Bumblebee but his infantilization by fans makes it hard to ship him with anyone!
You immediately get hate comments or accusations when you do something with Bee that doesn’t make him look or act like a baby! It’s so tiring!
I don’t have a solid interpretation of him so I like both fanfics where he’s a sparkling and has a family dynamic with others and fanfics where he is a full grown bot who deals with his own struggles and relationships.
THESE ARE SPACE ROBOTS WHO ARE THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD. EVEN MILLIONS OF YEARS OLD.
NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO LIMIT HOW A CERTAIN CHARACTER MUST BE SEEN LIKE.

A real big ick for me is people taking specifically tf one bumblebee like a child based on how he acts
Like bro he was alone with no contact for years on end and is extremely desperate for real friends and people treat that desperation as something “child like” is kinda gross
And I say this as some who also loves sparkling bumblebee fics there are just certain people who take these headcannons and treat them like cannon that everyone needs to follow.
