A Sleepless Draughtsman

I’m going from cute domestic scenes to techno-dystopia real quick! I wanted to practice painting darker skin tones, so here’s Nish from Black Museum!

I’m just fleshing out some ideas for a couple of OCs, and suddenly this appeared. I just like drawing cute sun-drenched domestic scenes, don’t @ me.

P.S. I tend to be more active on Instagram nowadays because keeping track of multiple social media accounts whilst holding down a full time job is impossible.

So I saw Endgame and loved it 3000, but right before that I saw Thor Ragnarok (yes, I watched it a year after it was in theatres, don’t judge me) and just had to do Ragnarok fanart first!

So it took me several weeks to process my emotions after seeing Infinity War, but I can safely say that one of my favourite parts was seeing Bucky and Rocket spinning around and spraying ammo like a whirling carousel of death. Also, I can’t draw guns.

Here’s a couple of family portraits I was commissioned to paint for Mother’s Day gifts, painted entirely in Procreate on the iPad Pro!

All hail the greatest warrior of Wakanda, Okoye! She might be my fave character in Black Panther, with her incredible loyalty and integrity, and a side eye more deadly than her spear. Painted in Procreate with some Photoshop post-processing.

The was a cool change in the midst of an oppressively hot summer here in Melbourne last month, so this piece was inspired by that. It was also a chance to try out Procreate on the iPad Pro!

Some looooong overdue fanart for Castle in the Sky! I managed to catch this in the theatre during a Ghibli festival last year in Melbourne, which made the sheer scale and grandeur of the film all the more palpable!

I saw The Last Jedi over the hols, and I had to do a quick fanart of my fave non-stereotyped, self-sacrificial Asian space sisters!
